3月24日我院启动本土汉语教师培训项目,共有60多位本土教师参加了为期两周的培训。我院特邀广西师范大学两位资深汉语教学教授来讲学。

3月15日,首届“泰南大专院校汉语教师联谊会”在宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University )孔子学院召开,来自泰南6所大专院校的汉语专业负责人、汉语老师代表,以及孔子学院全体教师参加了会议。
 
3月10日我院组织的宋卡王子大学自费赴华学习团今天启程,20位大学生身着孔子学院熊猫标志T恤衫,兴致勃勃在孔院大门前合影。他们将在广西师范大学学习3个月,下决心要大幅度地提高汉语文化水平。
 
3月6日宋大孔院新任中方院长郭元兵老师抵达合艾,他将接替马峙院长的工作。按照总部的安排,他将在宋卡王子大学孔子学院工作四年。
 
2月6日我院马峙院长和易宏刚老师前往瓦莱拉大学访问,与中文系的教师们进行的座谈,并赠送给该系一箱科研参考书籍,鼓励教师们参与汉语教学科研工作。
 
2014年1月11日HSK考试成绩已到,请考生到孔院领取证书或成绩单。
 
我院参加宋卡王子大学文学院每年一度的美食节,以中国传统食品饺子为主,当场演示包饺子全过程,买饺子的师生乐意不绝。我院一共做了800多个饺子,但还供不应求。
 
2月11日宋卡王子大学青少年道德研修协会在我院举行学习《弟子规》汇报活动,40多位协会成员展示了她们在三个月内的学习成果:1、演讲比赛(学习《弟子规》心得);2、演唱《弟子规》歌曲;3、根据《弟子规》内容编的短剧。中文系教师、孔院教师和马来西亚特邀嘉宾也出席活动。
 
2014年2月6日,我院马峙院长和易宏刚老师前往瓦莱拉大学访问,与中文系的教师们进行的座谈,并赠送给该系一箱科研参考书籍,鼓励教师们参与汉语教学科研工作。
 
2月1日,我院三个舞蹈队共30多人参加华人社团春节晚会初二晚会演出,1、舞蹈《戏韵》--- 孔子学院大学生舞蹈队(宋卡王子大学中文系学生);2、舞蹈《银落》--- 孔子学院中学生舞蹈一队(合艾幺窝II中学);3、舞蹈《放风筝》--- 孔子学院中学生舞蹈二队(合艾幺索中学)。到场观众约2000多人,三个舞蹈都赢得了热烈的掌声。
 
1月30日,在中国春节的除夕之夜,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了中泰春节联谊会。在泰南工作的部分汉语志愿者教师、宋卡王子大学中国留学生代表、留学中国广西师大的泰国留学生代表和家人以及当地友好华人华侨100多人欢聚一堂,辞旧迎新,共同迎接马年的到来。马峙院长和孔子学院全体教师恭祝来宾们新年快乐,在新的一年里身体健康,万事如意,马年吉祥。
 
1月25日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举行了隆重的春节文化日活动,泰南12所公立中学200多名师生参加了此次春节活动日,场面热闹非凡,春节气氛浓厚。
 
2014年1月我院公派教师李飞锐副教授成功派出四个中国舞蹈,上传孔子学院总部网络春晚专网,参加网络春晚节目评比。
 
1月18日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)举办了第十三届世界大学生“汉语桥”泰南预选赛。来自宋卡王子大学合艾校区和北大年校区(Prince of Songkla University)、南方大学(Thaksin University)、也拉皇家师范大学(Yala Rajamagala University)的19位选手参加此次比赛。另有100多名老师和学生观众到场观看比赛。
 
2014年1月13日,应华人社团的要求,我院专门为合艾华人社团举办中文计算机课程,共有20多位学员报名参加。本课程将进行三周时间。该课程由我院汉语志愿者教师吴光怡老师授课。
 
1月12日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了一年一度的泰南中小学、幼儿园本土汉语教师联谊会,共有来自泰南26所中小学、幼儿园的52位汉语骨干教师和广西师大国际文化教育学院访泰代表团欢聚宋卡王子大学孔子学院共商2014年泰南汉语发展大计,会上还特别表彰了10名优秀本土汉语教师。
 
2014年1月11日,以广西师范大学国际教育文化学院院长罗耀光教授为领队的广西师范大学代表团一行三人到我院访问,代表广西师大向全体孔院教师问候和拜年。
 
1月11日,我院举办2014年第一次汉语水平(HSK)考试。本次考试公分三个级别:三级、四级、五级、六级。多数考生是大学生和中学生。
 
2014年1月7-8日,我院为宋卡六世王中学举办了两天的汉语文化营,共有95位师生参加。我院安排了丰富多彩的课程,如:汉语角、中国剪纸、中国结、中国舞蹈、中国书法、中国歌曲等活动。

泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院12月27日上午举行成立7周年庆典暨优秀汉语学生表彰大会。孔院执行委员会委员、泰南各主要中学汉语教学负责人以及汉语教师代表、王子大学中文专业优秀学生代表等100多人出席庆典,热烈庆祝宋卡王子大学孔子学院成立7周年。
 
马峙院长和秘书两人,应邀赴曼谷参加了泰国教育部汉语教学改革研讨会,泰国教育部部长、两位副部长、高教委/基教委/民教委/职教委汉语项目官员、汉办驻泰代表处陈永山老师、朱大孔院中方院长等共80多人参加了会议。教育部长乍都隆.柴桑强调,“汉语教学关键在于抓质量,不能光抓数量”。会上大家热烈地讨论了泰国汉语教学的改革方案,并提出了很多可行性的建议。根据此次会议的精神,泰国教育部2014年将出台汉语教学改革新方案,特别是对汉语听说课每班的学生人数将有具体的要求。
 
汉办驻泰国代表处陈永山老师一行8人(含朱大孔院院长、勿洞孔院院长、部分课堂堂长和学校领导)到我院访问,看望了宋大孔院和勿洞孔院的全体教师,并一起合了影。陈永山老师表扬泰南三家孔院在汉语文化推广上所做的大量的工作和付出的艰辛努力,鼓励老师们再接再励,把工作做好,希望趁明年全球孔院十周年的佳期多做宣传,多开展一些活动。
 
我院邀请合艾友谊之声合唱团、马来西亚三个合唱团(峇株巴辖华仁中学校友会合唱团、峇株巴辖林氏宗祠合唱团、麻坡卡农合唱团)到孔子学院进行交流。首先,由我院教师们表演了中国手语歌曲《感恩的心》;合艾友谊之声合唱团表演了《远方的客人请你留下来》、《歌声与微笑》;峇株巴辖华仁中学校友会合唱团演出了《快乐的牧场》、《去到那百合盛开处》;峇株巴辖林氏宗祠合唱团演出了《绣荷包》、《小小果实》;麻坡卡农合唱团演出了《在那银色月光下》、《我在船上等你》等。
 
2013年12月14日宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举办了泰南大学生中文歌曲大赛。共有来自宋卡拉杰曼歌拉皇家理工大学(Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya)、宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)、也拉皇家师范大学(Yala Rajabhat University)、南方大学(Thaksin University )、合艾商业技术学院(Hatyai Commercial Technological College)等共5所泰南大专院校的15名选手参加了角逐。此外,还有 100多名师生及家长粉丝团到现场助威,现场气氛紧张而热烈。
 
宋卡王子大学副校长Amornrat博士,孔子学院泰方院长Adisa博士,中方院长马峙教授一行三人参加了在北京召开的第八届全球孔子学院大会。本次大会的主题是:回顾过去,展望未来。全体与会代表就六个议题进行了交流和讨论:1、制定和实施孔子学院“规划”经验交流;2、师资队伍本土化建设;3、深入实施孔子新汉学计划;4、孔子学院网络教学的发展;5、推进教材数字化;6、筹备2014年全球孔子学院“汉语日”。
 
2013年12月7日晚,泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院第七届理事会召开。参加会议的有中泰方学校主管领导和中泰方院长。理事会听取了马峙院长“孔子学院2013年的工作汇报”,大家充分肯定了孔子学院一年来所做的工作和取得的成绩,审议并通过了《孔子学院2014年经费预算》、签署了《中国广西师范大学与泰国宋卡王子大学中文专业3+1项目协议》、确定了2014年理事会方案,并对孔子学院未来发展进行了深入的探讨。
 
12月1日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了12月份的汉语水平考试(HSK)和汉语口语水平考试(HSKK)。来自泰南的174名考生报名参加了此次各级别考试,其中大学生为此次考生的主体。
 
11月23-24日,来自泰南地区9所大专院校的40多位汉语本土骨干教师齐聚合艾宋卡王子大学孔子学院进行大专院校汉语教学研讨,共同探讨泰南高校汉语教学发展大计。此次会议的一个重大议题是成立泰南大专院校汉语教师联谊会,搭建泰南大专院校汉语教师网络,加强各校及孔院之间的沟通、交流与合作。
 
由我院组织的泰南教育馆员和中小学校长研修团一行11人11月15日-24日在广西师范大学进行了为10天的研修活动。广西师范大学精心准备并有针对性地安排了专业知识讲座、中国文化学习、课堂教学观摩学习和到中学实地考察,与广西师大泰语专业学生座谈,以及游览桂林历史悠久的人文景点和秀美的自然风光。
 
由我院自筹经费资助,宋卡王子大学文学院体育教师前往广西师范大学进行1周的文化交流活动,在广西师大期间他一共做了三次泰拳和泰拳文化讲座和教学示范,广西师大200多位大学生参加了泰拳学习交流活动。
 
10月20日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了10月的汉语水平考试(HSK)和汉语口语水平考试(HSKK)。来自泰南的226名考生报名参加了此次各级别考试,其中中学生考生人数显著增加。
 
10月12日,泰国教育部长乍都隆.柴桑(Mr. Chaturon Chaisang)一行莅临宋卡王子大学孔子学院,视察泰南边疆五府中学生汉语文化营活动并与学生互动,场面精彩纷呈,热闹非凡。
 
10月12日, 由泰国教育部基础教育委员会主办的泰南边疆五府中学生汉语秋令营在合艾宋卡王子大学孔子学院隆重开幕。来自泰南边疆五府的110名中学生将在宋卡王子大学孔子学院参加为期15天汉语语言文化营。泰国基础教育委员会副主任翁吉.梅塔雅帕拉帕女士(Ongjit Mettayaprapat)和中国驻宋卡总领馆张晋雄总领事参加开幕式并致辞。
 
9月19日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合泰友谊互助会举行庆中秋中泰大联欢晚会。本次联欢晚会邀请了中华人民共和国驻宋卡总领馆周锡康副总领事、泰友谊互助会部分成员、留学生、当地华人华侨共165人,共同庆祝传统中秋佳节,场面热闹非凡。
 
我院20个版面的图片展收到学生们的瞩目。本次图片展的内容有:中秋节文化、3+1国际汉语项目、桂林山水、广西师范大学、广西美食等。图片展的主要目的是宣传广西,吸引更多的泰国大学生到广西师大留学和交流。
 
9月19日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合泰友谊互助会举行庆中秋中泰大联欢晚会。本次联欢晚会邀请了中华人民共和国驻宋卡总领馆周锡康副总领事、泰友谊互助会部分成员、留学生、当地华人华侨共165人,共同庆祝传统中秋佳节,场面热闹非凡。
 
9月12-13日, 我院为陶公府宋艾歌乐中学40名高中生举办汉语语言文化营。 穆斯林学生比例占该营学生半数以上,学生们在两天的时间里学习和体验了中国结、剪纸、中国歌曲、中国民族舞蹈、中国传统节日文化等丰富的中国文化活动, 极大地激发了学生们学习汉语语言文化的兴趣,多名高三学生表示要报考宋卡王子大学文学院中文专业。该校的中文课负责人方婉英老师还给孔院老师们带来了一篮中秋月饼,提前给孔院教师们致以节日的祝贺。
 
合艾商业技术学校100名师生到我院进行汉语文化营,我院安排了中国结、太极拳、游戏等课程和活动。学员们兴趣浓厚,觉得时间太短,计划下次继续到孔院参加类似活动。
 
9月6日, 由宋卡王子大学孔子学院和合艾汉语教学网络中心联合承办的办的泰国教育第十六区中学生汉语演讲比赛圆满落幕。共有来自宋卡、博他仑和沙墩三府17所学校的30名中学生参与了角逐。此次比赛是泰国公立基础教育委员会牵头主办的汉语演讲比赛初赛选拔,前一、二、三名将赴曼谷参赛。
 
9月1日,泰南中学生赴华秋令营27位中学生和两位领队教师集聚在我院,进行出发前的培训。
 
8月31日由宋卡王子大学孔子学院和合艾汉语教学网络中心联合主办, 董里汉语教学网络中心和甲米汉语教学网络中心协办的中华文化大赛在合艾宋卡王子大学孔子学院隆重举行。来自泰南9个府35所公立中学共535名中学生选手参加了10个中华文化项目的角逐。
 
我院选送了宋卡王子大学中文系16位学生的作品,参加了2012年“孔子学院杯”国际汉语教学写作大赛,并获得好成绩:两个一等奖;一个二等奖;一个三等奖;三个鼓励奖。
 
2013年8月16日,泰国宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)开放周隆重开幕,来自泰南各中小学的上万名学生和老师参观了各种展览和丰富多彩的文化活动,学校的国际展览及会议中心人头攒动,热闹非凡,其中孔子学院和中文专业联合举办的中华文化活动吸引无数师生驻足观看和体验,绽放无限光芒。
 
2013年8月3日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了泰南中小学、幼儿园汉语教师研讨会。中华人民共和国驻泰国宋卡领事馆张惠勋领事、边疆五府教育管理中心负责人车曼妮老师、普吉孔子学院中方院长张新玲、勿洞市孔子学院中方院长刘丽英,合艾汉教育网络中心负责人和董里汉语教育网络中心负责人以及泰南各中小学、幼儿园的72名本土汉语骨干教师参加了研讨会。
 
8月2日我院教师认真学习了《汉语水平考试管理手册》,并参加了汉语考试中心的网上资格考试,我院全体中国教师(三位公派教师和六位志愿者教师)考试获得优异成绩,获得‘HSK考试管理B级资格证书’。院长助理易宏刚老师获得‘HSK考试管理A级资格证书’。该证书有效期为五年。
 
8月1日,由中国广西师范大学、泰国南方大学和宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合举办的主题为“泰中文化交流”之中泰艺术教育论坛和艺术家作品展在泰国南部宋卡府南方大学(Thaksin University)图书馆隆重开幕,中国驻宋卡总领事馆许明亮总领事、双方高校领导和宋卡各侨团领袖以及南方大学200多名学生出席了开幕式并观看了展出的80多件艺术作品。
 
HSK test results of July 21, 2013 have arrived. Altogather 240 people took part and 82 have passed. The passing rate is 34.16%.
 
7月21日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了2013年的第三次汉语水平考试(HSK)。来自泰南的285名考生报名参加了此次共六个级别的考试。

马峙院长应教育部基教委董里汉语中心和甲米汉语中心的邀请,到董里府对来自泰南三个府的76位中国汉语志愿者教师和本土教师进行了系统的培训。泰国十三区教育局局长Patom Pa-O-Past先生、素帕拉其尼中学校长Yongyuth Maneechote先生参加了培训班开幕式,分别讲了话,分别对孔子学院的支持表示衷心地感谢,还跟教师们一起合了影。
 
泰国教育部基教委汉语教育负责人吴泰湾老师、教育部合艾汉语网络中心负责人黄秋容、黄秋月老师、汉办代表处志愿者领队老师在我院举行志愿者座谈会,马峙院长和孔院部分教师们参加了座谈,彼此交流了志愿者教学和教师培训等事宜。马院长热情地提前邀请吴泰湾老师参加8月30日泰南中学生汉语文化大赛,吴泰湾老师愉快地答应了邀请。
 
6月21日,由华侨崇圣大学、泰中商务理事会、宋卡王子大学和宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合举办的主题为21世纪中国之崛起-机遇与挑战研讨会论坛在宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举行。中国驻宋卡总领事许明亮阁下、泰中商务委员会主席李绍祝先生、泰南侨团联合会主席方志雄先生、宋卡王子大学、华侨崇圣大学的校长们以及宋卡王子大学各学院的院长们和来自宋卡各类学校、宋卡王子大学部分学生、侨团的领导们约200多名听众参加了会议,会议取得了圆满成功。
 
2013年6月16日 ,由宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)、合艾汉语教学网络中心(Hatyaiwittayalaisomboonkulkanya School)和董里汉语中心(Trang Chinese Center)联合举办的泰国公立中学第六届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛泰南区预赛成功落下帷幕。来自泰南宋卡府、北大年府、董里府、博他仑府等31名选手参加了此次角逐。
 
2013年6月12日(农历五月初五),正值中国传统节日—端午节,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)的全体老师与孔院学员以及当地中文教师共70余人一起举办了庆端午中泰联谊会,共庆端午佳节。孔子学院的学员和当地汉语教师给孔院教师送来了节日礼品。
 
我院通过中文系傅琳老师特邀华人老板,合艾罐头厂和蜜蜂商行林榆文先生于6月7日上午9:00-11:00在孔子学院进行《泰中生意杂谈》讲座。他详细谈了他多年来在两国之间的商业往来的故事,跟大家分享他的从商经验,并解答了师生们有关泰中商务的问题。共有50多位中文专业师生参加了活动。
 
我院2013-2014学年第一期汉语培训班正式开始,本期共开设初级和中级六个级别的汉语班九个,共有学员163人。
 
我院马峙院长和泰方院长张如燕博士(Dr. Adisa Teo)于2013年5月28至5月31日到柬埔寨金边市参加亚太孔子学院联谊会,本次会议共有来自亚洲84所孔子学院和3所孔子课堂的200多位代表参加,孔子学院总部领导许琳主任和王永利副主任至始至终参加了会议,柬埔寨首相、八位副首相、20多位部长级领导参加了开幕式。大会主要内容有:1、落实规划确定的2015年发展任务和指标;2、加强孔子学院本土师资队伍建设和教材开发;3、筹备2014年孔子学院十周年活动;4、落实“核心教师”项目。我院泰方院长张如燕博士担任第二会议组主持,并做了小组总结报告。
 
我院两位新志愿者(李晓、杨桂双)抵达泰国,她们将在我院工作两年。我院马院长和留任志愿者宋月婵老师前往曼谷机场迎接。28日上午我院新老志愿者参加了泰国高教部2013年中国志愿者到任暨志愿者上岗培训大会。大会上,汉办代表处领导陈永山老师、泰国教育部代表、泰国移民局领导、中国驻泰国大使馆官员等参加了会议并分别讲了话。志愿者管理教师在会上作了安全注意事项的报告。
 
我院马峙院长应课堂长魏光磊老师的邀请到国光孔子课堂,对泰南六所中小学的30多位位志愿者教师代表进行了岗前培训。马峙院长从人事管理、教学准备(教学计划和教学方案)、教学管理(教学档案、学生档案)、档案管理、固定资产管理、财务管理、团结协作、组织活动注意事项、志愿者职责等多个方面有针对性地进行了辅导。陶华学校、合艾商业艺术学院领导参加了活动。中午,国光课堂(合艾侨团联合会方志雄主席)邀请所有参加培训的教师在蠡园酒店共进午餐。
 
我院马峙院长给宋大管理学院教授的商务汉语班结束,5月1日进行了期末考试,56位学生参加了三小时的笔试,这些学生在4月23日进行了1-1的汉语口试。这是宋卡王子大学管理学院学生首次开设汉语课,该课正式列入该院的外语选修课,计三个学分。
 
我院2013年选送和推荐泰国优秀大学生到中国留学的项目告一段落,至今为止,共选送中国政府奖学金8位同学到广西师范大学就读,选送孔子学院奖学金7位同学到广西师范大学就读,这些学生中多数人就读的专业是对外汉语教育。另外,我院两位高级职称教师共为40多名大学生写了推荐信。我院对今年中国的各类奖学金做了大量的宣传和工作,给予了全力的支持。
 
为期两周的泰南本土汉语教师培训班在宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)圆满结业,来自泰国南部8个府15所中小学校的31名本土汉语教师参加了此次培训。宋卡王子大学孔子学院为本次培训设计了丰富而且适合本土汉语教学的课程,开设有拼音正音、词汇教学、语法教学、会话教学、听力教学、写作教学、简笔画在汉语教学中的应用、《长城汉语》教材教法介绍、汉语 教学PPT制作、教学资源的利用、QQ运用、中国民族舞蹈、中国书法、中国剪纸、中国结等课程。在培训的最后一天半还安排了教学实践(试教)课,学员们轮流上台进行15分钟左右的教学实践,把前几天学到的教学知识和技能充分地展示出来,教学效果生动而活泼。
 
我院选送的大学生舞蹈队节目《菊花台》荣获孔子学院总部2013年网络春晚优秀节目奖。
 
On March 29th, at the invitation of Thaksin University,Prof. Ma Zhi (DIretor of PSUCI)attended in the second South Thailand Academic Conference of Chinese Teachers held in Hatyai Asia Hotel. He made a lecture “The Influence on the Development of the Chinese Education in Asean Countries”. Audiences are more than 100 Chinese teachers and college students of Chinese major from south Thailand's provinces.
 
On March 25 - April 5, two weeks of south Thailand local Chinese language teachers training program was satisfactorily carried out in PSUCI. 31 Chinese teachers from 15 local primary or middle schools of eight provinces in south Thailand took part in the training.
 
On March 24, 206 students took part in the HSK and HSKK examinations. PSUCI opened all levels of test this time and students participated in the test from level 1 to level 6.Candidates are mainly concentrated in these levels:2, 3, 4, 5, with among them the largest number in level 5.
 
On March 23, PSUCI successfully held the 2013 New Year's first Youth Chinese Test (YCT). 123 students of southern Thailand signed up for the exam. Examinees mostly came for YCT level 1 and level 2, accounting for 93% of the total YCT examinees.
 
March 18 to 19, four volunteer teachers (Wang Feng, ChiJunming, Song Yuechan, Wu Guangyi) went to Bangkok for the Confucius Institute and College Volunteer Office Meeting. Ms Wang Feng won the title of "2012 Outstanding Chinese Volunteers”. Four volunteer teachers will continue working in PSUCI for the next year for the cause of Chinese culture promotion.
 
March 11, organized by PSUCI,a team of 19 high school students arrived in Guilin, they are there for a summer camp of Nakhon Si Thammarat. They will take part in activities like Chinese language learning, cultural experience, travelling, visiting, making Chinese friends etc. for 6 weeks in Guangxi Normal University. Beforehand, Guangxi Normal University did the relevant reception preparation seriously to make sure that students could both learn Chinese culture and have fun.
 
On March 15, for a five-day training program for prospective Chinese language teachers was held in PSUCI with success. Trainees are from Prince of Songkla University, Thaksin University, Walailak University, and Huachiew Chalerm Paakiet University. A total of 26 college graduates attended the training.
 
2月18-19日 我院陈耀恒副教授应邀前往洛坤府瓦莱拉大学,参加在那里举行的, 由Ananda Mahidol Foundation支持的第二届亚洲研究国际学术会议。该会议有来自中国、德国、法国、马来西亚、老挝、越南等七个国家的学者提交论文,分11个分会场主题,分三种语言展开探讨。大会主题为“亚洲的复兴”。大会主席Chris Baker和Pasuk Pongpaichit博士在开幕主题演讲中将中国崛起列入对亚洲影响的三大事件。
 
2月13日 我院2012-2013年第四期非学历汉语班开班,共有149位学员参加了不同层次九个班(CH101x2、CH102、CH103x2、CH104x2、CH202、CH203)的汉语学习。本期学习班,我院共提供了8个免费学习奖学金,其中有6位是我院培养汉语桥比赛型选手。
 
2月9日 泰南汉语志愿者老师和留学生在宋大孔院欢度春节 2月9日,在中国春节的除夕之夜,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院举办了一年一度的春节联谊会。在泰南工作的汉语志愿者教师和留学生以及当地友好华人华侨100多人欢聚一堂,辞旧迎新,共同迎接蛇年的到来。
 
2月6日 宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院马峙院长和院长助理易宏刚老师一行两人应邀对地处泰南边疆的北大年府的Dechapattanayanukul 中学和圣兴教会学校(Charoen Si Sueksa School)和拥有近百年历史的北大年中华学校(Chonghua School)3所中小学进行了新年的第一次友好访问并赠送汉语书籍和教学教具,受到三所学校领导的热烈欢迎。
 
2月1日晚 我院应邀参加中国驻宋卡总领馆主办的春节招待会,组织15位孔院教职工和宋卡王子大学留学生演出了中国民族服装秀节目,我院服装演出队伍中有副教授2人,博士研究生7人。此次活动共有约500多中外宾客参加。
 
3月3日,我院2013年第一期舞蹈培训开始。由广西师范大学选派的左静老师担任教练。
 
3月11-15日 泰南预备汉语教师培训班圆满结业, 为泰南汉语教育输送新生力量 3月15日,为期五天的泰南预备汉语教师培训班在宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkhla University)圆满结业,来自宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkhla University)、南方大学(Thaksin University)、瓦莱拉大学(Walailak University)、华侨崇圣大学(Huachiew Chalerm Paakiet University)中文专业毕业生共26人参加了此次培训。
 
2月15日 马峙院长和助理易宏刚老师专程前往合艾陶华学校,举行孔子学院杯”国际汉语教学写作大赛(中小学组)获奖颁发仪式,为9位获奖小选手颁发了奖状、奖金和中文书籍,并赠予指导教师们孔院纪念品,感谢她们对汉语文化推广工作所做出的努力。

1月25日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)举行了隆重的春节文化活动日,中国驻宋卡总领事馆首席官员张慧勋领事和来自宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)、合艾大学(Hatyai University)和南方大学(Thaksin Unversity)三所高校320多名中文专业师生参加了此次春节活动日,场面热闹非凡。
 
1月19日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)举办了第十二届大学生“汉语桥”泰南预选赛。来自宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)、南方大学(Thaksin University)、也拉皇家师范大学(Yala Rajamagala University)、宋卡科技理工皇家大学(Rajamagala University of Technology Sririjaya)等18位选手参加此次比赛。另有100多名老师和学生拉拉队到比赛现场光看比赛。
 
1月14-15日 我院为沙敦中学举办为期两天的汉语文化营,该校共有31位师生前来我院参加活动,我院为该营设计了中国舞蹈、中国书法、太极拳、中国剪纸、中国结、中国歌曲等培训实践课,进行了中国文化和中国传统节日两个讲座,期间还穿插了中国传统游戏活动(击鼓传球和抢板凳)。

On January 12, 2013, Confucius institute at Prince of Songkla University successfully hosted the 2013 New Year's first Chinese proficiency test (HSK) and HSKK (Chinese speaking test). 123 students from south Thailand signed up for the exam at all levels. The special exam was arranged at the request of the China Hanban Chinese Test Center. Originally this test plan was not planned. This additional test is mainly for the convenience of students to apply to study in China or provides Thai universities with Chinese language proficiency certificate at admission.
 
2012年12月12日HSK和HSKK成绩公布了,在我院参加HSKK(中级汉语口试)的30位考生全部过关。最高分数为84分,最低分数为66分。
 
12月1日,我院举办的孔子学院杯”国际汉语教学写作大赛顺利结束,大赛分大学生组(四个级别),大学生组共选拔出34人,中小学生组(四个级别)共选拔出10人。我院将在颁发给获奖选手和指导教师证书、奖金和礼品(书籍)。
 
12月2日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了自考点成立以来的第一次汉语口语水平考试(HSKK)和本年度最后一次汉语水平考试(HSK)。来自泰南的100名考生报名参加了此次各级别考试。
 
11月24-25日,我院、勿洞孔院、宋大中文联合举办汉语教材培训班。 泰南边疆九府中小学汉语教材培训在宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University )圆满结束。来自泰南边疆五府20多所中小学的65名汉语教师参加了为期两天的培训并出色地完成各项作业。我院同时也进行了书展活动。
 
11月23日, 宋卡王子大学孔子学院主题为《中泰语言文化对比》的讲座隆重举行,来自泰南的宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkhla University)、南方大学(Thaksin University )、合艾大学(Hatyai University)的150多名泰南汉语专业大的大学师生聚集孔院,聆听应邀来自朱拉隆功大学孔子学院中方院长傅增有教授的讲座。
 
11月17日,我院举行每年一度的大专院校汉语教学研讨会,来自泰南地区所有大专院校的 30多位汉语本土骨干教师参加了研讨会。宋卡王子大学文学院院长兼孔子学院泰方院长Adisa Teo博士首先致开幕词,Adisa Teo博士说:“宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办此次研讨会,为泰南各高校的汉语教师提供了一个非常好的交流和学习平台,使得大家有机会聚在一起,相互交流、学习,为泰南各高校的汉语教学指明方向,解决教学中的各种问题,机会非常难得”。
 
11月10日 我院协助国光孔子课堂举办“国光杯”汉语文化比赛。泰南40所学校的500多伟学生参加了本次的“国光杯”汉语技能大赛。以马院长为领队的孔院11位评委老师到国光课堂协助大赛工作。
 
10月26日,我院孔子学院理事会胜利召开。参加理事会的外方代表有宋卡王子大学校长(孔子学院顾问委员会主席)、副校长(孔子学院理事会主席)、文学院院长(孔院泰方院长);中方代表有广西师范大学校长梁宏博士(孔子学院顾问委员会副主席)、副校长蔡昌卓博士(孔院理事会副主席)、国际交流处处长戴家毅副教授、国际文化教育学院副院长王光和博士、孔子学院中方院长马峙副教授、广西师大泰国项目主管曾洁老师等。会议讨论了和签署了“两校交流合作项目协议”和“3+1汉语专业项目协议”;通过了2013年宋大孔院项目预算方案和新一届孔子学院理事会;马峙院长在会上做了孔子学院2012年工作总结。
 
10月21日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了2012年度第三次新汉语水平考试(HSK),来自泰南的337名考生报名参加了此次考试,报名考试人数为历次之最。本次考试设有三级、四级、五级、六级四类,其中三级和五级考生人数最多,三级有139人参加考试,五级有130人参加考试,这两个级别考生人数占总人数80%。
 
9月11-24日,我院组织的泰南中学生秋令营一行21人赴桂林,这些中学生是泰南汉语中心从各中学选拨出来的优秀学生,他们在广西师范大学进行为期两周的汉语文化活动。
 
9月30日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University)庆中秋、迎国庆联欢晚会在孔子学院大厅成功举办。本次联欢晚会共有来自宋卡府本地及外府的约100余位社会各界人士前来参加,包括中国驻宋卡总领事馆的覃剑领事及杨吉博领事一家,宋卡王子大学中文系的老师们及宋卡王子大学的中国留学生,当地中小学的中国汉语教师,多年来一直支持孔子学院发展的泰籍友人等等。大家欢聚一堂,共同庆祝中秋佳节和祖国六十三岁的华诞。
 
9月19日,合艾侨团联合会、宋卡王子大学孔子学院、国光中学孔子课堂联合举办大型国庆联欢晚会,共约有1600人参加。各单位都献上了精彩的汉语文化节目,从幼儿园的孩子到大学生,从中国汉语教师到华人社团成员,都兴致勃勃地上台参与活动。
 
9月18日,马峙院长、陈耀恒副教授和教育部泰南汉语中心负责人一起到博他仑府和董里府的七所重点中学(博达伦中学、博他仑女子中学、博他仑披他耶空中学、沙葩拉齐尼中学、董里唯千玛度学校、沙帕拉斯妮二中、萨瓦拉塔纳披穆中学)进行访问,并赠送了汉语书籍。
 
9月13日,泰国第十六地区教育成果展示中学生中文演讲比赛才艺大赛在我院举行,比赛分初中组和高中组进行,来自宋卡府和沙敦府10所中学的39位选手参加了角逐。
 
9月12-20日 ,我院组织的泰南校长和教育馆员研修团到广西师范大学(桂林市)进行研修活动。
 
9月10日上午,中国驻宋卡总领馆许明亮总领事访问宋卡王子大学,宋大校长Chusak Limsakul博士、文学院院长Adisa博士和我院马峙院长参加了会谈,双方畅谈了中泰大学之间的友好往来的现状,以及大学间教育合作项目,许总领事还会见了在宋大的五位留学生代表。许明亮总领事并设午宴招待了与会的主要学校领导们。
 
9月1日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院协助泰南网络汉语中心举办泰南汉语文化大赛。 今年是第四届泰南汉语文化大赛,大赛共分15个比赛组。来自泰南各府25所公立中学的500多师生参加了活动,泰国教育部基础委员会官员吴泰湾老师参加了开幕式,并观摩了各项比赛。
 
2012年8月27日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了新一期的汉语语言文化营活动,本次文化营的参加学校是宋卡六世王中学。宋卡六世王中学是孔子学院的老朋友了,每年都会来参加孔子学院举办的文化营。本次文化营虽然只有短短的一天时间,但是同学们也过得异常充实。上午的第一个项目,是由陈老师为大家概括地介绍中国文化,包括中国功夫、中国菜、中国建筑等等,同学们还照着大屏幕上功夫明星的姿势有模有样地学了起来。接下来,是易宏刚老师教大家体验中国书法的乐趣,大家拿着毛笔大呼神奇,等看到老师用软软的笔写出飘逸的汉字之后更是觉得不可思议,自己也跃跃欲试。一个半小时很快就过去了,同学们将自己的作品小心翼翼地折好,有的要到学校去让小伙伴羡慕一下,也有的要拿回家希望得到父母的夸奖。下午的活动更加的精彩,那就是孔子学院的全体老师带领同学们包饺子。同学们分成了切菜组,和面组,擀皮组和包饺子组,分工合作、流水作业。整个过程井然有序之余也充满了欢乐,有的同学从没有做过饭,算是破天花头一次,而有的同学因为家里经营饭店,所以切菜、和面样样全能。虽然因为时间有限,大家的手法还不是很纯熟、包的饺子模样也五花八门,但是同学们还是快乐得跟自己的作品合影,同时也吃了个饱。整个文化营在欢笑声中落下帷幕。
 
宋卡王子大学孔子学院2012年8月11日讯:为进一步做好泰南汉语文化推广活动,宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkhla University) 2012年8月11日举办了一年一度的泰南中小学、幼儿园汉语教师研讨会。孔子学院特别邀请了中华人民共和国驻泰国宋卡领事馆的许明亮总领事及泰南地区31所中小学、幼儿园的70多位本土汉语骨干教师参加了研讨会。研讨会于上午9时开幕,中华人民共和国驻宋卡领事馆许明亮总领事首先致开幕词,许总领事在致辞中从三个方面指出了汉语教学及推广的重要性及重要意义并表示很高兴能看到泰国特别是泰南汉语文化教育事业蒸蒸日上,他还勉励大家努力学习汉语教学技能,把泰南汉语教学事业推上一个更高的台阶。出席此次研讨会的泰方嘉宾有宋卡汉语教学网络中心(Hatyaiwittayalaisomboonkulkanya School)的本土汉语教师及负责人黄秋容(Soontree Promolkosulyut)和黄秋月(Bunsri Mukdarasmee)老师。本次研讨会分两个阶段进行。 上午为第一阶段,大会特邀了广西桂林市西山小学语文教学专家秦晖老师和桂林市教育局幼儿语文教育专家何月兰老师分别做了题为《小学低年级有效识字教学方法简介》和《幼儿语言教学的主要内容及方法》的精彩讲座。随后,合艾德教树强学校(Khunnatham Wittaya School)中国侨办派出的赵鲤鲤老师和宋卡巴东中学(Patongprathankiriwat School)本土汉语教师葛爱玲(Kwansuda Kankaew)老师分别做了题为《泰国幼儿园汉语教学方法及经验介绍》和《泰国中学汉语教学技巧》讲座。听完讲座之后,与会老师分成两组就几个讲座发言进行了热烈讨论,大家纷纷各抒己见。
 
2012年8月7日,由宋卡王子大学孔子学院同合艾汉语中心合作举办的为期2天的汉语语言文化营成功落下帷幕。本次文化营是本年度孔子学院举办的第二期文化营,共有来自合艾维他亚来中学(Hatyai wittayalai)、合艾维他亚来中学2(Hatyai wittayalai 2)、Sadao khanchai Kampalanon Anusorn和Hatyai Ratprachasun四所学校的60个学生参加。在两天的时间内,同学们接触到了多种多样的中国文化活动,也接触到了许多的中国老师,他们学习汉语的热情也更加的高涨了。在为期两天的文化营中,孔子学院给各位同学准备了丰富多彩的文化活动。吴光怡老师为大家介绍了我国古代的丝绸之路和大家喜爱的中国龙,也希望各位同学以后都能"成龙";李明珠老师给大家讲解了中国的传统节日,大家对中国人在传统节日吃的饺子,元宵,粽子,月饼等等非常感兴趣;陈耀恒老师带领大家适用孔子学院的设备进行了中国文化的体验。除此之外,还有一系列需要同学们动起来的活动,我们学习了太极拳,同学们都说以前觉得太极拳是老年人的运动,慢慢的,可是今天自己亲身体验了才知道,太极拳也是非常需要体力的。两位舞蹈老师还教大家跳起了傣族舞,大家伴着优美的音乐翩翩起舞。同时,我们也安排了剪纸,中国结,中国书法,中国象棋等传统文化教学,虽然时间有限,可能不能学习得非常深入,但是却也让同学们了解到了中国文化的魅力,相信在他们以后的学习中,一定会更深入的了解这些充满魅力的中国文化。
 
7月25-26日 我院与泰南汉语网络中心合作举办2012年第一期汉语文化营。共有66名学生参加了活动,文化营内容有:中国剪纸、中国结、中国舞蹈、《中国节日文化》讲座、《中国龙文化》讲座、中国象棋、学唱中国歌曲等
 
2012年6月23日(农历五月初五),正值中国传统节日—端午节,宋卡王子大学孔子学院的全体老师与宋卡王子大学中文系的师生共100余人一起举办了中泰联谊会,共庆端午佳节。端午节在我国历史悠久,是大家都非常重视的一个传统节日,同时也是各位汉语学习者了解中国历史文化的一个好机会。本次联谊会也调动起了中文系学生们的积极性,大家都精心准备了各式各样的精彩节目,有的同学准备了介绍端午节历史由来的展板,向大家介绍关于端午节的美丽传说和各地的风俗习惯;有的同学准备了汉语小短剧,用更形象的方式给大家讲述端午节的故事;有的同学精心制作了色彩绚丽,栩栩如生的道具。孔子学院的老师也一起合唱了欢快的歌曲。大家一起吃粽子,品文化,唱歌曲,一起度过了一个热闹非凡的端午节,大家也通过本次活动更深地了解了中国这一传统节日的文化内涵,收到了较好的效果。
 
2012年6月16日 ,第五届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛泰国赛区泰南预赛在宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举行。本次比赛由宋卡王子大学孔子学院,泰南汉语中心以及董里汉语中心共同主办,有来自宋卡府、北大年府、董里府、博他仑府等多府选派的20多名选手参赛。本次比赛除了由宋卡王子大学孔子学院的易宏刚老师担任评委外,还邀请到宋卡王子大学中文系负责人黄望舒老师,合艾国光中学孔子课堂徐立新老师担任评委,比赛精彩纷呈,高潮迭起,取得了圆满成功。 本次比赛共分三个部分:自选题演讲、知识问答和才艺展示。演讲部分,选手用准确的发音、流畅的叙述和真挚的情感征服了评委;才艺展示部分,选手们更是让评委老师们惊叹不已,有飘逸灵动的中国画、婉转动听的葫芦丝、刚劲有力的中国功夫、婀娜多姿的中国舞蹈、绘声绘色的成语故事等等,选手们的精彩表演赢得了评委和观众们热烈的掌声。 经过十分激烈的角逐,最后,来自合艾中学的官佳佳同样来自合艾中学的张采文同时获得一等奖,来自合艾颂文坤干耶中学和来自Saparani学校的选手获得了二等奖。泰南赛区选拔出来的优秀选手将赴曼谷参加泰国全国中学生汉语桥的总决赛。
 
2012年6月6日宋卡王子大学孔子学院和国光孔子课堂联合举办宴会,恭贺方志雄主席荣获国家汉办“泰国创建孔子课堂突出贡献奖”,答谢方志雄主席对孔子学院和孔子课堂的关心和支持。这天正值方主席生日,中泰方共有70多人出席了宴会,中国驻宋卡总领事许明亮、宋大孔子学院中方院长马峙、国光孔子课堂中方负责人魏光磊等在晚宴上恭贺方志雄先生并感谢他对推广汉语文化的努力和奉献。侨团联合会主席方志雄在宴会上讲了话,感谢孔子学院和孔子课堂做出的努力和成就。
 
2012年5月10日 广西师范大学文学院汉硕研究生4学生在汉办举办的“孔子学院杯”国际汉语教学资源编写大赛中获得好成绩(一等奖1人,三等奖1人,鼓励奖2人,优秀指导教师1人)。为了鼓励师生们积极参与总部汉语文化活动,我院陈耀恒教授代表孔子学院对获奖的师生给予表彰,并颁发了奖金。
 
2012年5月10日 我院组织中国教师和留学生10多人,协助中国驻宋卡总领馆举办总领事到任答谢宴会活动。许明亮总领事在宴会上作了热情洋溢的讲话,感谢泰南各界对中国驻宋卡总领馆的支持和厚爱,当地各侨团领袖、政府首脑等要员应邀参加了此活动。
 
2012年5月7日 受泰南侨团联合会方志雄主席的邀请,马峙院长和助理易宏刚老师夫妇一行三人前往陈宝发酒店参加在那里举行的欢迎中国驻宋卡总领事许明亮先生的大型宴会,共有约400多人参加了活动。以方志雄主席为首的各华人社团领袖一起上台表示对信总领事的热烈欢迎。
 
2012年5月5日受紫南阁华人社团的邀请,马峙院长带领孔院教师一行三人前往参加该社团成立41周年庆典活动。近五百人参加了庆祝活动。树强学校的幼儿园和小学生们和紫南阁社团新老会员演出了丰富多彩的中华文艺节目,赢得了阵阵掌声。
 
2月11日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院举办了第十一届大学生“汉语桥”泰南预选赛。本次比赛主题为“快乐汉语,快乐同行”,旨在弘扬中国优秀文化,促进大学生对学习汉语的热情及选拔优秀选手参加将在曼谷举办的“汉语桥”中文大赛。 宋卡王子大学、南方大学等学校选派了8位选手参加此次比赛。 宋卡王子大学和南方大学等大学的带队老师,还有五十多位大学生和孔子学院师生观看了比赛。   比赛开始之前,孔子学院院长廖恩喜发表了讲话,为来参加比赛的选手们加油,鼓励参赛者不要紧张,重在参与,比赛的目的是为了提高大家学习汉语的兴趣。 比赛由三个环节组成:自由演讲、有关汉语知识和中国文化的当场问答和才艺表演。由宋卡王子大学孔子学院和合艾国光中学的五位老师担当评委。在第一个自由演讲阶段,由参赛者们自选话题,依照抽签顺序轮流上台发表演讲。第二环节是知识问答,选手们对汉语及中国文化的了解让在场的观众惊叹。第三环节是才艺展示,才艺表演环节也异彩纷呈:刚劲有力的中国功夫,优雅精湛的中国茶艺,或缠绵或深情的中国歌曲,意境丰富的水墨画,曲调悠扬的葫芦丝演奏等等,袅娜多姿的舞蹈,生动有趣的表演博得了观众们的阵阵掌声。 经过一天的紧张角逐,比赛共决出一等奖1名,二等奖2名,三等奖2名,。来自的宋卡王子大学文学院的张佩贞(Vimonrut Thanompongchai)凭借流利标准的普通话、深情真挚的讲演和一手好茶艺赢得了一等奖,来自南方大学的杰鹏(Panupong Sirisupnoppakun)和潘美劲(Atid Pongsawakul)获得了二等奖,获三等奖的是来自南方大学的白心洁(Nadda Brownwanakul)和唐金蓉(Wisa Sae Tong )。南方大学还获得此次比赛的最佳组织奖。孔院院长为获胜的选手颁发了证书及奖品,并鼓励他们再接再厉再创佳绩。优秀选手将代表泰南赛区参加泰国总决赛。
 
2012年1月22日是中国的大年三十,也是合家团圆的日子,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院为此举行了一年一度的春节游园和联欢晚会活动。活动分为两部分:白天是大型的春节游园活动,晚上是春节联欢晚会。 来自宋卡和合艾地区的百余名华人华侨及孔子学院汉语培训班学员共同参与了游园活动。游园活动非常丰富,分别是:穿中国民族服饰感受中国传统民族文化;用筷子夹玻璃球亲身体验中国饮食餐具文化;“心有灵犀一点通”的我说汉语,你猜词游戏;兵乓球传递竞赛等等。中国人过年都要包饺子和吃饺子。为此,游园后,我院还为来宾们特意安排了“包饺子尝饺子”活动,来宾们一起亲身参与了包饺子,尝到自己做出来的饺子,都兴奋不已。并且每位参与活动的来宾都有一个红包。一位华人代表很感慨地说:“虽然没能去过中国,但是今天真正过了一个中国年。” 晚上六点开始的春节联欢会活动中,邀请了当地华人朋友以及在当地工作和学习的中国人共度佳节。五十多位来宾、教师和留学生参加了此次联欢会,大家欢聚一堂,辞旧迎新,共同迎接龙年的到来。 院长廖恩喜代表孔子学院全体教师致新年贺词,他恭祝大家新年快乐,在新的一年里身体健康,万事如意。随后,大家共进晚餐,兴高采烈地观看了春节联欢晚会,有的则上网跟家人或朋友拜年。 为丰富本次活动的内容,活跃联欢会的气氛,孔子学院还进行了抽奖和游戏活动。游戏环节中,各位来宾踊跃参与,笑声不断,大家在一片祥和欢乐的气氛中度过了一个愉快的晚上。一位留学生代表发表感言:“在孔子学院的精心安排下不仅感受到了节日的喜庆,而且也感受到了中国大家庭的温暖。”
 
为进一步做好泰南汉语文化推广活动,为2012年的各项活动打下基础, 1月14日宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University )孔子学院举办了一年一度的泰南中小学、幼儿园汉语教师联谊会,这是我院2012年度的第一次活动。共有来自泰南20个中小学、幼儿园的50位汉语骨干教师参加了联谊会。此次活动持续了一整天,受到了汉语教师们的广泛好评。 联谊会于上午9时开幕,廖恩喜院长首先致新年的祝福,感谢教师们一年来对孔子学院工作的支持,并代表孔子学院做了关于2011年汉语和文化活动的总结报告;接着汉语本土教师黄秋容老师(Suntharee Pramuankosonyut)、汪丽华老师(Thanawan Thaneewattanakul)、陈婵贞老师(Saitong Wattanapaisan)分别做了关于《教学经验介绍和教学成果展示》。 随后代表们分成两组,我院就孔子学院2012年的汉语语言文化活动计划征求了教师们的意见,也就各校汉语文化活动计划以及汉语图书资料的需求进行了讨论,教师们充分表达了各校汉语文化活动的设想和安排,特别提到需要短期中国舞蹈和武术教师的需求。教师们讨论得很热烈,达到了互通有无,相互交流的目的。 下午,我院还通过书展的形式展出了国家汉办推荐的优秀教材、教辅资料等图书和音像材料100多种,同时也出售部分中文图书和音像材料。各位老师还根据自己教学的实际需要选择了想要的图书或音像资料,孔子学院对订购信息进行统一记录,从而为泰国南部的中小学、幼儿园汉语教学搭建了一个了解中国汉语教材的平台。
 
12月25日上午10点,以槟城北海德教会济慈善社长-郭晃霖为领队的马来西亚槟城北海的11所华文小学的200多名的校董及师生代表访问宋卡王子大学孔子学院。 我院为此次来访的代表团举行了热烈的欢迎仪式,院长助理易宏刚老师代表孔子学院对代表团的到来表示了热烈的欢迎。在欢迎仪式结束后,孔院陈耀恒老师用PPT图文并茂的为来访的200多名代表们介绍了宋卡王子大学孔子学院五年的发展历程,同时还介绍了孔子学院的中方合作大学-广西师范大学。来访的代表们对孔子学院发展和作用表现出了浓厚的兴趣,特别是十几位校长们对我们的舞蹈培训项目询问了我们很多相关的问题。校长们还表示今后要与我们展开合作交流,把我们的舞蹈培训项目引入到马来西亚去。代表们一行还观摩了孔子学院的汉语培训班的教学活动。在观摩结束后,孔院老师们和代表们还就汉语教学的教材问题进行了深入的探讨和交流,双方都获益颇深。通过交流我们对马来西亚的汉语教学以及汉语教材的使用现状有了进一步的认识,同时也获得了很多推广汉语的宝贵经验,对我们的发展有很大的启发。 在即将结束访问之际,来访的代表们都纷纷表示以后要和我们展开更多的合作与交流,甚至还表示要组团访问广西和广西师范大学,希望我们给他们提供必要的协助。我们表示一定会热情的牵线搭桥。此次接待马来西亚的华文小学代表团是我孔子学院创建以来接待的最大规模的访问团,通过接待访问,有效的宣传了孔子学院,也为双方的合作与交流打下了坚实的基础。
 
12月24日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院举办了泰南大学生普通话比赛,旨在提高泰南大学生学习汉语的热情与积极性,进一步推广标准的普通话。 经过各校初选,来自宋卡王子大学、南方大学(Thaksin University)、合艾大学(Hatyai University)、宋卡皇家大学(Songkhla Rajabhat University)等高校二十多名大学生参加了此次比赛。本次比赛的主题为“学好汉语,促进中泰交流与合作”,比赛内容分为分自拟题和抽签题两部分。参赛选手表现都很出色,得到了评委们的一致肯定。比赛在竞争和掌声中结束并评出了一等奖两名,二等奖三名,三等奖四名,孔子学院为获奖选手颁发了奖状及奖金,同时为所有参赛选手都准备了精美礼品,以鼓励更多的大学生踊跃参加汉语文化比赛等活动。 赛后获奖学生都说,比赛前自己做了非常充分的准备,比赛时还是比较紧张。他们希望孔子学院以后组织更多比赛活动,以帮助自己提高汉语水平。评委老师鼓励参赛选手,是否获得名次是次要的,重要的是得到了锻炼,宋卡王子大学孔子学院将会为泰南汉语爱好者提供更多学习和体验汉语言文化的机会。
 
为了激发泰南地区大学生学习汉语的兴趣,促进泰南地区汉语文化的推广,2011年12月17日宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了2011年度泰南中文歌曲大赛。本次比赛分初赛和决赛,共有来自宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)、Rhamkamhaeng University等大学的二十多名选手参加了此次比赛,有一百多名师生以及家长加油团,大家兴致勃勃观看了比赛,现场气氛紧张而热烈。 宋卡王子大学大四的学生陈美芳凭借一首深情的《情人的关怀》,轻而易举地进入了决赛,再以一首歌颂父爱的《酒干倘卖无》博得了评委一致肯定,一举夺得了冠军。 来自Rhamkamhaeng University的大学生孔明迷(Naraset Kooncha)特地从曼谷兰甘恒大学赶过来参加比赛,以一首气势蓬勃的《精忠报国》打动了评委,荣获二等奖 文学院的六人组合一起演唱了自己改编的歌曲《学汉语的日子》,用歌曲和自创的MV表达了学习汉语的苦与乐,歌曲清新动人、形式新颖,让评委们耳目一新,荣获三等奖。 赛后,孔子学院院长助理易宏刚老师代表孔子学院为获奖选手颁发了奖状及奖金,同时为所有参赛选手都准备了精美礼品,以鼓励更多的大学生踊跃参加比赛。 这次来参加比赛的选手们非常重视此次比赛,从选歌、伴奏、演唱服装的选择等都做了非常充分精心的准备。一位获奖选手说:“我喜欢王力宏,我爱汉语,爱唱中文歌曲,从唱中文歌中学习汉语很轻松很快乐。”
 
为了普及中文打字,鼓励泰南大学生更熟练地使用中文电脑系统,2011年12月10日宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院举办泰南大学生中文打字比赛。 来自宋卡王子大学、南方大学(Thaksin University)、合艾大学(Hatyai University)、宋卡皇家大学(Songkhla Rajabhat University)等高校的二十多名大学生参加了此次比赛。经过激烈紧张的角逐,评选出一等奖一名、二等奖两名、三个奖五名。孔院院长助理易宏刚为选手们颁发了证书及奖金,并鼓励和欢迎各大院校的学生积极参加孔院举办的各类汉语文化体验活动。 此次比赛泰南地区各大院校积极响应,纷纷组织选手参加比赛。参赛选手表示,熟练掌握中文打字对以后从事汉语相关工作是十分有利的,这样的比赛可以提高我们对汉字的运用能力。
 
12月9日宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University )孔子学院与文学院联合举办孔子社会道德研讨会。孔子学院举办研讨会目的是为泰南高校的师生们营造一个良好的学习和研究中国伟大的思想家、教育家、哲学家孔子的平台。这已经是孔子学院建院以来举办的第四届研讨会。 此次研讨会吸引来了宋卡王子大学北大年(Pattani)校区、合艾校区(HatYai)、董里(Trang)三个校区、佛教大学(Buddhism college)以及合艾市区几个中学的两百多名师生参加。 开幕式上,宋卡王子大学合艾校区文学院院长阿迪撒女士致开幕词,并特邀宋卡王子大学北大年校区合艾校区东方哲学教授和合艾校区东方哲学教授Suchai Thasakon先生做了关于《孔子先生“和”的思想及孔子关于教育的理念对我们当代生活的影响》的讲座,另外,代表们还针对孔子思想对社会道德教育的正面影响和必要性进行了分析和讨论,各组派代表热烈地阐述了自己的观点。讨论时气氛热烈、大家畅所欲言,收获很大。 闭幕式上,宋卡王子大学孔子学院中方院长致词说,“通过研讨会来探讨中国伟大的思想家、教育家、哲学家孔子的哲学思想和教育理念,目的是要从中找到对我们现代社会发展有指导和启发作用的智慧,孔子的这些光辉的思想和理念至今对我们的社会依然有着重要的指引作用。” 与会师生纷纷表示,听完讲座后都深受启发,不虚此行,不仅学习到了孔子的思想,更加深了对中国文化的理解,整个活动获得了非常满意的效果。
 
12月3日至4日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University )孔子学院举办了第二期国际汉语教材培训,举办培训的目的是推介国家汉办最新的国际汉语教材,帮助泰南地区汉语教师提高汉语教学效果。 本次培训为期两天,孔敬大学(Khon Kaen University)孔子学院涂敏副教授及勿洞市(Betong Municipality)孔子学院师文老师应邀担任培训师,来自泰南合艾、宋卡等地区的三十多名泰国本土汉语教师、中文教学负责人以及志愿者教师参加了培训。 本次培训以中国国家汉办推介教材中的《当代中文》为主。涂敏副教授以《当代中文》为例,对教材体例、教学内容、教学计划等方面进行了深入的分析和总结,涂老师结合自身多年的教学经验和教学研究心得,为学员们总结出了一套行之有效的教材使用方法,真正做到了“授人与渔”。涂老师还针对学员的课堂教学情况与课件进行了深刻、精彩的点评。泰南勿洞市孔子学院师文老师以《当代中文》教材为例,介绍了如何根据教材设计教案,学员深受启发。 大会培训期间,宋卡王子大学孔子学院组织培训学员对教材各方面的问题进行了分组讨论,讨论氛围激烈,最后由组长代表小组发言,总结小组讨论结果,学员们积极参与讨论并分组完成作业。同时,我院还展出了两百多册汉语教材方面的图书、卡片以及音像资料等。   培训结业典礼上,宋卡王子大学孔子学院中方院长廖恩喜祝贺学员圆满地完成培训,希望培训后学员们能有所收获并能真正运用到汉语教学中。最后廖院长为参加培训的学员颁发了培训结业证书。   宋卡王子大学孔子学院今年举办了两期国际汉语教材培训,培训针对性强,内容丰富,效果良好,受到汉语教师欢迎。一位合艾大学老师说:“通过两天的培训不仅了解汉办推介的优秀教材,还能学会了如何分析运用教材,真是受益匪浅。”
 
11月26日晚,宋卡王子大学(合艾校区)举办了孔子学院建院5周年庆典活动,中华人民共和国驻宋卡总领事馆张惠勋领事,国家汉办驻泰国代表处庞利女士,泰国宋卡合艾市市长派•帕塔诺(pai pattano),合艾侨团联合会主席方志雄先生,广西师范大学代表团,宋卡王子大学校长及文学院领导,泰国4家孔子学院的院长,3家孔子课堂的中方负责人,友好合作单位代表们,共三百多人出席了庆典。 建院五年来,我院培训学员约1800人,每年定期组织举办各类语言文化比赛和活动40多场次,参加人数累计约三万多人,培训和选送的大学生和中学生选手多次在泰国以及国际汉语比赛中获得好成绩;宋卡王子大学孔子学院这个名字在泰南地区基本上已经家喻户晓了。 庆典仪式上,中华人民共和国驻宋卡总领事馆张惠勋领事、国家汉办驻泰国代表处庞利女士、合艾市市长pai pattano先生、合艾侨团联合会主席方志雄先生、宋卡王子大学副校长chachai博士、广西师范大学副校长蔡昌卓博士分别致辞,热烈祝贺宋卡王子大学孔子学院成立五周年,对孔子学院过去五年在汉语教学、文化推广和中泰交流等方面所取得的成果,给予了充分的肯定,同时对孔子学院未来寄予厚望。
 
2011年11月13日宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院举办了2011年度泰南大专院校汉语教学研讨会,共有来自宋卡王子大学、南方大学(Thaksin University)、合艾大学(Hatyai University)、宋卡皇家大学(Songkhla Rajabhat University)等学校的30多人参加了此次研讨会。 本次研讨会的主题是泰国大学汉语教材和汉语教学研究,分两个阶段进行。上午为第一阶段,特邀广西师范大学文学院韩明教授做了《东南亚地区汉语教材研究分析》的专题讲座,韩老师结合自己丰富的教学经验和大量调查研究具体分析了东南亚汉语教材现状,并就教材的编写和设计做了深刻独到的讲解和分析,与会者深受启发。短暂休息后,宋卡王子大学普吉孔子学院的冯勍楠老师做了《初级对外汉语教学》的专题讲座,冯老师从教学实践出发,深入浅出地介绍了初级汉语教学的宝贵经验。 下午是第二阶段,以汉语教学为中心,广西师范大学国际文化教育学院刘香君老师做了《中级汉语教学》的专题讲座,通过对学生偏误分析和研究,总结出一套非常有效的教学方法。另外,宋卡王子大学孔子学院廖恩喜院长做了《让学生动起来》的专题讲座,列举教学实例,深入浅出,介绍汉语课堂教学技巧,对与会者的汉语教学大有裨益。 此次研讨会活动得到了泰南各大专院校的积极响应,各校负责人就汉语教材和教学法进行了热烈的讨论,提出了各自在教学中存在的问题,最后由各小组组长作了总结发言。本次研讨会是自建院以来第五届大专院校研讨会,每年的研讨主题都不同,相信这将有利于进一步促进泰南大专院校汉语教学和科研水平以及提高汉语师资培训的质量。
 
10月23日,宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔子学院成功举办了2011年度第二次新汉语水平考试(HSK),来自泰南的334名考生报名参加了此次考试,报考人数是宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)孔院开设考点以来最多的一次。 本次考试设有三级、四级、五级、六级四类,其中四级考生人数最多,有135人,其次是五级,131人,这两个级别考生人数占总人数80%。 为了保证考试顺利进行,孔子学院提前做了大量的宣传和考前准备工作。此次考试宋卡王子大学孔子学院依旧通过网上报名,打印准考证等进行考务管理。电子化网络报名系统给考生报名提供了方便,提高了考务工作效率。孔子学院邀请有考务管理经验汉语教师组织监考,对参加监考的教师进行了严格的考务培训。 随着孔子学院汉语言文化推广工作在泰国的进一步开展,越来越多的泰国汉语学习者关注HSK考试,他们有的希望可以通过考试来检测自己的汉语水平,有的为报考大学中文专业做准备,有的在努力为自己留学中国创造条件。 宋卡王子大学孔子学院HSK考点报考人数的增加是孔子学院不懈努力的结果,是泰国大中小学中文教育越来越普及的结果,也是中泰两国教育文化交流进一步发展的结果。
 
为进一步做好泰南汉语文化推广活动,2011年9月17日宋卡王子大学孔子学院(Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkhla University)举办了一年一度的泰南中小学、幼儿园汉语教师研讨会。孔子学院特别邀请了中华人民共和国驻宋卡领事馆的张惠勋领事(Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Songkhla ZhangHuixun Consul )及泰南地区中小学、幼儿园的52位汉语骨干教师参加了研讨会。 研讨会于上午9时开幕,中华人民共和国驻宋卡领事馆的张惠勋领事首先致开幕词,张领事在致辞中表示:很高兴能看到合艾地区汉语文化教育事业蒸蒸日上,这与在座的各位老师辛勤付出及宋卡王子大学孔子学院在合艾开展的一系列汉语文化推广活动是分不开的。 本次研讨会分两个阶段进行。 上午为第一阶段,大会特邀了泰国合艾国光中学(Singnakorn School)孔子课堂徐利新老师做了《汉语教学资源》专题讲座,徐老师结合自己的实践经验具体探讨了汉语教学资源存在的问题,并就这些问题提出了自己的看法,见解深刻。随后,宋卡六世王中学(Mahawachirawut School))汪丽华(Thanawan Thaneewattanakul)老师做了如何利用教材上汉语课的报告。听完讲座之后,与会人员就上午的报告发言进行了热烈讨论,大家纷纷各抒己见。 下午是第二阶段,树强学校(Kunnatamwittaya School)的彭玉英(Ou I Ing)老师作了《一个汉语教师的职责和责任感》的专题发言。另外,宋卡王子大学孔子学院王枫老师《关于如何提高学生学习兴趣的一点心得体会》的专题讲座,列举教学实例,深入浅出,对与会者的教学大有裨益。 此次研讨会活动得到了各个中小学的积极响应,各校负责人就中小学的教材和教学法进行了热烈的讨论,也提出了各自在教学中存在的问题,获得了良好的效果。
 
“海上生明月,天涯共此时”,一年一度的中秋佳节又到了。9月12日,合艾宋卡王子大学孔子学院举行庆中秋迎国庆中泰联谊活动,展出中秋佳节文化介绍宣传板。宋卡王子大学孔子学院特邀宋卡王子大学文学院、合艾市及附近的志愿者教师、当地华人朋友代表、留学生代表、孔子学院汉语培训班学员等共庆这一美好的节日。 泰国宋大孔院举办了别具一格的联欢晚会。华灯初上,花好月圆之时,联欢晚会拉开帷幕。在这特别的日子,孔子学院的廖恩喜院长对各界友人的到来表示热烈的欢迎,为在异乡工作学习的朋友们献上节日的祝福。 晚会为宾客们准备了中秋月饼、点心水果、饮料等茶点。同时,为了让大家过上一个热闹、喜庆的中秋之夜,孔子学院安排了精彩别致的游戏活动、激动人心的抽奖活动。“倒着说”、“运气球”、“听歌猜歌”、“大拼盘”等游戏,让座上的宾客们都动了起来,跳了起来,笑了起来。 整个晚上,孔院大厅内都充满了欢声笑语,处处洋溢着欢乐祥和的气氛。大家在一起吃月饼、拉家常、玩游戏,独在异乡的游子们虽不能与家人团聚,但是就在今日,就在此刻,在孔子学院的大厅,大家就像在自己家一样,享受着一样的迷人月夜,感受到的是同样的团圆快乐的气息。
 
为了进一步推广汉语文化,提高泰南中学生普通话水平与学习中文的兴趣,培养汉语人才,8月31日泰南汉语中心(Chinese central of south Thailand)与宋卡王子大学(Prince of Songkla University)在泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合举办了第四届泰南汉语文化大赛。 本次大赛内容丰富,形式多样,包括中学生演讲、讲故事、书法、中国结、剪纸、普通话朗诵及中文歌曲卡拉OK比赛等,分初中、高中两组进行。 在比赛中,来自泰南Hatyatwittayalail、Hatyatsamboonkulkanya等十所中学的一百五十二名选手充分展示自己的才能,展现出较好的普通话水平以及他们对中国书法、中国结等中华文化艺术的理解和认识。 比赛现场井然有序,紧张而热烈。经过激烈角逐,各项比赛最终评出一、二、三等奖各一名。本次比赛也得到了泰南地区各中小学校的高度重视,主办方说,今年比赛中涌现出很多汉语新秀,他们的汉语水平展示出了泰南地区中小学汉语文化教育的巨大成果。这类比赛可以激发泰南学生学习汉语的兴趣,同时也让泰国人进一步了解到丰富多彩的中华文化。
 
2011年8月15日至16日是泰国宋卡王子大学开放周,孔子学院举办了汉语教材图书展,以及中华传统文化体验活动。此次活动不仅吸引了泰南地区各中小学校的师生们,而且也吸引了众多华裔、友人慕名前来参加。每年的八月份,宋卡王子大学开放周都会迎来泰南地区的很多中小学学生、教师及社会各界人士。 泰国宋卡王子大学的开放周全校停课,期间各个学院举办了各种展览活动:教育展,邀请当地中小学的师生来参观、交流;文化展,不同学院和专业的学生布置各自的文化角,展示不同学院的特色;饮食展,亲手制作各国风味的食品,设摊出售等等。 孔子学院在展厅内开设了汉语教材图书展,展出了汉语教材教辅资料,中文读物、音像制品等。丰富的汉语图书吸引了众多师生流连忘返。为了让更多人能接触了解中国,免费增送《弟子规》、《HSK宣传手册》等宣传手册和图书。 除了汉语教材图书展外,还特别设置了中华传统文化体验活动,有中国书法、中国剪纸、包饺子、看中国功夫电影。在中国书法体验区,人流涌动,学生有的在欣赏书法老师挥笔泼墨,有的亲自拿起毛笔,跟着老师点横竖撇捺得写起来,每个参与书写的学生都会获赠一幅字。 体验包饺子的人也不少,俗话说:“饺子好吃,可不好包”。引来很多围观的学生,学生很感兴趣也很好奇,都想跃跃欲试,一展身手。 中国功夫电影展区也是座无虚席,学生是换了一拨又一拨。精彩的武打场面,让整个展区的气氛非常紧张。剪纸也是学生久久逗留不愿离开的地方。 在为期两天的活动中,进入展区浏览参观并进行文化体验活动的人数过千。孔子学院还对参与活动的学生做了调查问卷,大部分学生表示对中国文化非常感兴趣。希望能进一步了解和学习。 此次活动,不仅为泰南地区学生及汉语爱好者提供了良好的汉语体验和学习的机会,传播了汉语文化知识,而且加强了孔子学院与周边学校以及华裔、泰国友人等的联系,此次汉语文化活动在学生们朗朗笑声中圆满结束。
 
为了提高泰南学生的汉字书写水平,养成他们良好的书写习惯,弘扬中华书法艺术这一优秀的传统文化,宋卡王子大学孔子学院于2011年7月30日举办了汉字书写比赛。共有来自泰南地区也拉、宋卡、洛坤等府的八十多名选手参加了此次比赛。 本次比赛分中学生组和大学生组两个组别分别进行。比赛现场秩序井然,参赛选手神情专注,都力争在规定时间内书写出上乘佳作,最后,经过严格公正的评审共评出中学生组一等奖2名、二等奖6名、三等奖14名,鼓励奖若干;大学生组一等奖2名,二等奖4,名、三等奖10名,鼓励奖若干。孔子学院为获奖选手颁发了奖状、奖金及纪念品。 本次比赛让泰南学生认识到了培养良好的汉字书写习惯的重要性,激发了学生学习中国书法艺术的热情,扩大了汉语言文化在泰南地区校园中的影响。
 
为提高泰南学生的汉语水平,增强学生的汉语表达能力和学习汉语的兴趣,从而达到推广汉语文化的目的,2011年7月25日-26日泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了为期2天的汉语文化营活动,来自树强学校的45名小学生参加了此次活动。这是孔子学院迎来的年龄最小的学员。 开营典礼在宋卡王子大学孔子学院大厅举行,孔子学院院长助理王娟老师代表孔子学院对各位学员的到来表示了热烈的欢迎,并希望他们积极参与,在轻松快乐的气氛中真正体验汉语,感受汉语文化。 文化营期间,学员们学习了中国歌曲、书法、民族舞蹈、武术、剪纸等等。这些小学员年龄虽小,但至始至终学员们都以极高的热情投入到汉语文化活动中,取得了良好的效果。他们表现积极活跃,给老师们留下了良好的印象。 闭幕式上,教师代表及学员代表对此次文化营高度评价,他们认为此次文化营不仅使他们零距离接触了众多的中国老师,练习了汉语口语,而且也使他们全方位了解了中国文化,加深了对中国文化的认识,是不可多得的人生体验,他们还表示希望孔子学院多多举办此类的文化活动,以期能更多地了解中国。
 
7月18日至19日宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办汉语语言文化营。来自沙墩中学的38名学生参加了文化营活动,这是今年宋卡孔子学院举办的第二个文化营。 文化营期间,汉语教师和学生们用汉语互相介绍,零距离接触,教师向学生们展示了由国家汉办赠送的汉语文化体验设备,结合各种有趣的游戏和活动,引领学生认识中国的汉字,熟悉中国文化等;年轻漂亮的舞蹈老师让学生体会到了中国民族舞的魅力;肖艳老师让学生领会到了中国“吉祥结”的内涵和巧妙。此外,宋卡王子大学孔子学院还安排了中国象棋、书法等文化实践课。 虽然这次文化体验时间不长,只有两天,但是学生们表现出了极大的热情,对老师们所教的内容都非常感兴趣。老师们看到学生们写得刚正笔直的毛笔字、做得精美别致的中国结、剪得形态各异的剪纸等等,都感到极其欣慰,同时也看到学生对中国文化的热爱。 各个学校的带队老师也跟着学生一起参加了写毛笔字、剪纸、中国结等课程体验中,学生们和老师们都融为了一体,沉浸在汉语及中国文化的国度中,不知不觉两天时间很快就结束了。老师们表示以后还会让更多的学生参加类似这样的活动。
 
每年的七八月份,宋卡王子大学孔子学院都会举办一系列的汉语文化体验活动。7月2日,21位来自宋卡六世王中学的学生参加了2011年孔子学院的第一次汉语文化营活动,即汉语语言文化体验的系列活动在宋卡王子大学孔子学院拉开帷幕。 文化营期间,学生们亲身体验了丰富多彩的汉语文化活动。首先是中国古代书法艺术,一笔一画,一点一捺,手中的毛笔在徐徐移动中体验着用毛笔写汉字的与众不同;接着是踢毽子,学员们第一次看到插着五颜六色的羽毛毽子极其感兴趣,纷纷跃跃欲试;在剪纸课中,一张红纸像魔术师一样可以变出美妙的图案;最后学员们高兴地拿着手中的作品和中国老师一起合影留念。宋卡王子大学孔子学院还安排了中国歌曲、乒乓球等文化实践课。带队老师们也表示,这次文化营办得很成功。这类活动比较受中学生欢迎,他们在活动中加深了对中国文化的认识。 廖恩喜院长表示,开办汉语文化营目的就是为了让学生们能够体验到汉语文化的乐趣,让更多学生参与到汉语学习中来。近期,孔子学院近期将在泰南地区为中小学汉语文化爱好者举办一系列的汉语文化体验活动,并且欢迎各个学校的学生和老师们积极参与。
 
6月25日 ,第四届“汉语桥”世界中学生中文比赛泰国赛区泰南预赛在宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举行。幺索中学、幺沃中学、北大年中学、沙敦中学等8所学校选派20名选手参赛。比赛取得圆满成功。 比赛共分三个部分:自选题演讲、知识问答和才艺展示。演讲部分,选手们各展其能,声情并茂。有的选手通过唐诗宋词元曲酣畅地表达了对中国古代文学的挚爱,有的选手通过分享学习汉语的故事抒发了对中国的热爱和向往,有的选手深情讲述了将“执子之手与子偕老”与汉语同行。在才艺展示部分选手们更是让评委老师们惊叹不已。心灵手巧的折纸和剪纸艺术,秀出了中国“红”之美,刚劲有力的“咏春拳”、“功夫毛笔”、“太极扇”尽显中国功夫之雄风;婀娜多姿的傣族“孔雀舞”流露出中国民族舞蹈的浓浓深情;一曲震撼人心的《国家》,将整个才艺展示推向了高潮;选手们的精彩表演赢得了评委和观众们热烈的掌声。 经过十分激烈的角逐,最后,北大年本哲玛拉楚题中学的陈瓅美获得一等奖,幺索中学的洪健城和沙敦中学的何微微获得二等奖。泰南赛区选拔出来的优秀选手将赴曼谷参加泰国全国中学生汉语桥的总决赛。
 
宋卡王子大学孔子学院2011年中小学教师培训班 2011年3月21日-4月1日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办中小学汉语教师培训班。来自泰国中南部30位中小学汉语教师参加了本期汉语培训。此次培训孔子学院本着帮助教师进一步巩固汉语基础,丰富教学知识,熟悉教学技巧和技能的原则,开设了教学法、教学方案设计、拼音正音、课堂活动、听说教学、现代教育技术、剪纸折纸、中国结、中国舞蹈等课程,为他们提供了理论和实践指导。 本次培训班内容充实、形式多样,深受中小学教师欢迎。在培训中,各位学员表现出了积极的兴趣和参与的热情,并和授课教师积极互动,课堂效果良好。 通过本次汉语培训活动,不仅能使受训教师获得宝贵的教学经验,同时能进一步提高各中小学汉语教师在知识储备、教学方法、教学水平和教学能力等方面的综合素质。
 
为了加快培养本土汉语教师的步伐,鼓励泰南中文专业毕业生加入到汉语教师的队伍中来,2011年3月21日至3月25日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院免费举办了预备教师培训班,来自泰南各大学的13名中文专业毕业生参加了此次培训。本培训开设教学法、教学方案设计、拼音正音、课堂活动、听说教学、现代教育技术、剪纸折纸、中国结、中国舞蹈等课程,为他们提供了理论和实践指导。 本次培训班内容充实、形式多样,各位教师对学员进行生动活泼、深入浅出地教学,教学方法灵活富有吸引力,充分调动了学员学习的积极性,课堂气氛活跃,收到了很好的教学效果。参加培训的学员对这次教师培训班的学习安排和组织工作予以了一定的肯定,认为这次培训活动在他们走上讲台前很有必要,给了他们很多教学专业知识和指导。 本次培训班的教学工作和相关活动安排周密而合理,取得了令各方满意的效果,为以后的师资培训积累了丰富而宝贵的经验。
 
2011年3月13日宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了2011年度新汉语水平考试。本次考试设有HSK三级、HSK四级、HSK五级、HSK六级。 此次考试,宋卡孔子学院通过网上报名,打印准考证等进行考务管理。网络的使用方便了大量外地的考生,较大地提高了管理效率,并且能及时迅速了解到报名考试情况和学生信息并能及时进行信息的更改和错误的纠正。 共有来自合艾地区各大中小学208人报名参加此次考试,这是举办新HSK以来报名考试人数最多的一次。其中报考HSK五级的人数最多,达到了75人;其次是HSK三级,有69人;HSK四级也达到了56人。为了保证这次规模较大HSK考试顺利进行,宋卡孔院特别邀请了文学院具有考务经验的教师共同合作,确保考试的顺利进行。 考试在孔子学院的精心安排下井然有序地进行,秩序良好。一位HSK三级的考生考完之后,很兴奋地对老师说道:“HSK三级考试不难,听力最容易,让我有信心继续学习汉语了。” 新HSK在原有汉语水平考试的基础上,减少了考试时间,降低了考试难度,进一步增加其实用性,题量适当合理,受到国外考生的欢迎。相信随着汉语的推广,今后会有更多的考生加入到汉语水平考试的行列中。
 
2011年2月2日既是中国的大年三十,也是合家团圆的日子,宋卡王子大学孔子学院为此举行了一年一度的春节联谊会活动,邀请了在当地工作和学习的中国人共度佳节。30多位教师和留学生参加了此次活动,大家欢聚一堂,辞旧迎新,共同迎接兔年的到来。 院长廖恩喜代表孔子学院全体教师致新年贺词,他恭祝大家新年快乐,在新的一年里身体健康,万事如意。随后,大家共进晚餐,兴高采烈地观看了春节联欢晚会,有的则上网跟家人或朋友拜年。 为丰富本次活动的内容,活跃联谊会的气氛,孔子学院还进行了抽奖活动,设立了特等奖及一、二、三等奖,礼品有U盘、USB音响箱、毛巾等等。安排了了游戏环节,各位来宾踊跃参与,大家在一片欢声笑语中度过了一个愉快的晚上,大家在孔子学院的精心安排下不仅感受到了节日的喜庆,而且也感受到了中国大家庭的温暖
 
为了传播中国的传统文化艺术,加强彼此文化交流和各方面的合作。2011年1月21日广西师范大学巡讲团在宋卡孔院举行了巡回讲座。来自宋卡孔院中文系的学生及合艾地区的志愿者老师共一百多人参加了这次巡讲团的讲座。 巡讲团的讲座分四场举行,分别是书法绘画、武术、舞蹈、中国乐器。广西师范大学美术学院的副院长做了题为《中国画艺术》的讲座,深入浅出、诙谐幽默的讲解赢得了听众们阵阵掌声,并现场给大家展示了写字作画;广西师范大学武术学院、音乐学院的专家们各显其能,听众反响热烈。舞蹈老师现场表演傣族舞蹈并与听众积极互动,将丰富多彩的讲座进一步推向了高潮。 此次巡讲团的出访,不仅给泰国的学生们及远在异国他乡的志愿者老师们带去了中国博大精深的文化体验,同时发挥了孔子学院的文化传播功能,丰富了办学内容。学生们表示希望以后还能来孔子学院听关于中国文化方面的讲座,这些讲座加深了对中国的了解,从中可以学到很多中国文化知识。
 
为增进中泰两国人民的友谊,发展两国间的文化交流,广西师范大学艺术团文艺演出活动于2011年1月28日在曼谷拉开序幕。艺术团先后在曼谷、孔敬、马哈沙拉坎举行了巡回演出。2011年1月22日广西师范大学艺术团在广西师范大学国际文化教育学院副院长王光和教授带领下,来到泰南合艾市,在国光中学的慧如堂举行了以“欢乐春节”为主题的巡回演出。此次文艺演出由中国汉办驻泰国代表处主办,宋卡王字大学孔子学院和合艾国光慈善中学孔子课堂承办。 中国驻宋卡总领事王灿芬女士,合艾侨团联合会主席方志雄先生,出席这次春节联欢会,并发表了讲话。艺术团表演了别具中国特色的舞蹈、武术、中国乐器等,获得了当地人民,特别是当地中文爱好者和当地华侨们的热烈欢迎和好评。其中,到场观众有宋卡王子大学中文系的学生,各个中小学学生,当地的华人华侨,有近1000人观看了演出。 节目以中国年三十的包饺子、庆团圆、写对联、贴窗花、看春晚、大拜年为主题线索。一场活泼热闹的《欢天喜地》开场舞将表演拉开了序幕。笛子独奏、二重唱《千里之外》、表演“年年有余”等节目给观众留下了深刻的印象。最后演出在欢乐祥和的气氛中落下帷幕。 此次艺术团的出访,不仅给泰国观众带去了美好的艺术享受,传播了中国文化,同时还巩固了与泰国各友好华侨社团及学校的合作关系,加深了与泰国高校的文化交流。
 
孔子学院自建立以来,得到了泰南地区各学校、各汉语培训机构、各华人社团、各界人士的大力支持与帮助,为了在新的一年里把各项工作做得更好,发挥孔子学院的桥梁作用,2011年1月8日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院举行了“2011年泰南中小学汉语教师联谊会”。来自泰南地区的各个学校及培训中心的的汉语教学管理人员和教师代表出席了联谊会。 孔子学院院长廖恩喜代表孔子学院对与会代表们表示衷心的感谢和新年的祝福,并对孔子学院2010年的汉语教学和文化活动工作做了详细的总结。接着,各个学校的代表介绍了各个学校具体教学情况和存在的困难,并对孔院工作提出了宝贵的意见和建议。代表们积极发言,气氛热烈。会后,孔子学院为各位代表准备了丰富的图书及音像制品展览。联谊会在愉快而轻松的气氛中落下帷幕。 此次联谊会增进了孔子学院与各学校、相关机构、华人社团等的友谊和联系,相信有大家的共同努力,孔子学院的工作必将取得更大的成就,为推动泰南的汉语教育作出更多的贡献。
 
CI celebrated its third birthday on Dec.29th. 150 people including representatives of Chinese associations, K-12 teachers and volunteer teachers participated. Mr. Sonti Taechanan (the Governor of Songkhla Province) and Mr. Prai Pattano (mayor of Hatyai municipality) extended their congratulations by sending letters and flowers though could not come. Mr. Liu Guangsheng(general consulate of China in Songkhla), Dr. Chatchai(vice president of PSU). Pref. Lan Wei (representative of GXNU). Dr. Teo. Adisa (Thai Dean of CI) delivered a speech of congratulations to its successful operation and high remarks on its extraordinary achievements. Chinese and Thai Deans of CI issued “CI scholarship” to 9 students and “special contribution award” to 2 students. Then came the highlights of wonderful performances. Rhymed story “Good Fortune comes” recited by the freshmen to the rhyme of bamboo clappers brought the house down while the Solo “joyful songs of festivals” by Ms. Xiao Yue from GXNU push the ceremony to the climax. The anniversary was concluded in the sign language song “Heart of Thanksgiving” by all the staff of CI to extend their gratitude to all walks of life for their support and help.
 
On December 19, 2010, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University in Thailand held a Competition of Chinese song in order to encourage college students in the South of Thailand to learn Chinese ,and publicize Chinese cultures.. The competition was divided into preliminary and final. More than ten students from The PSU、Thaksin University,and ect, participated in the competition. We watched the game excitedly and the atmosphere was intense. The players sang many songs such as “gently tell you”, “fairy tale”, “hear”, “First Time"”and other songs with deep feelings .Letong from the PSU at Hat Yai Campus reflected the song "Heaven Road" vividly and ultimately won the first prize for the students’ group. After the competition, The PSU CI delivered certificates and prizes to the winners and gave each contestant a gift to encourage more students to take part in the activities. The winner said, “ I am usually very fond of Chinese songs and singing Chinese songs is a very effective means to learn Chinese. Also, participating in the Confucius Institute at the Chinese song competition is a good opportunity to practise myself.”
 
In order to popularize standard mandarin Chinese, enhance college students in South Thailand to learning authentic Chinese, and comprehend Chinese culture, on November 28, 2010, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University in Thailand held Putonghua Competition for college students. Seventeen students from The PSU、Thaksin University、 Hat Yai University,and ect,participated the competition. The theme for this competition is ‘to Learn Chinese well and promote sino-Thai exchanges and cooperation’. The PSU CI delivered certificates and prizes to the winners and gave each contestant a gift to encourage more students to take part in the activities. After the competition, a winner said even though I had fully prepared I still feft nevous. But I made it. And I hope that The CI will held more of such competitions to improve my Chinese. The CI judges encourage the contestamts that winning or not is not that important. The most important is that each of your participation is a good opportunity for you to practice and upgrade yourself. The PSU CI will provide more such platforms of Chinese language learning and exchanging for Chinese learners in South Thailand.
 
In order to popularize Chinese character typing and encourage students in south Thailand to use Chinese computer system freely, on November 20, 2010, the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University in Thailand held Chinese Character Typing Contest for college students in South Thailand. More than twenty students from PSU, Thaksin University, Hat Yai University and etc. participated in the contest. Prof. Liao Enxi, Director of the PSU CI, delivered the certificates and awards to the winters (1 First Prize, two Second Prize and three Third Prize). Prof. Liao encourages and welcomes the college students to come to the PSU CI to take active part in the CI contests and competitions in Chinese language and culture. This competition had got positive response from the local universities. The contestants said that having a good command of Chinese computer system will improve their ability of using the Chinese language and will benefit them as well as their work in the future.
 
9月22日,宋大孔子学院举办庆中秋迎国庆中泰联谊活动,一百多名中泰师生欢聚一堂。泰国宋大孔院举办了别具一格的联欢晚会。孔院为来自各个地方的志愿者老师、华人朋友等准备了丰盛的自助餐及丰富多彩的演出节目。志愿者老师的精彩藏族舞蹈《吉祥谣》拉开了晚会的序幕;泰国中学生和大学生独具特色的中国舞蹈歌舞表演让在场的观众都感叹泰国学生对中国文化的喜爱和熟知;孔院教师们的服装秀让泰国友人知晓了丰富灿烂的中国民族服饰文化;最后中国留学生准备的佤族“竹竿舞”将整场晚会推向了高潮,随着活泼欢快竹竿的节拍,和着一阵阵的欢呼声,全场观众一起共舞,难忘今宵。
 
8月30日泰南汉语网络教育中心与宋卡王子大学在泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院联合举办了第三届泰南汉语文化大赛。本次大赛内容丰富,包括中学生演讲、讲故事、书法、中国结、剪纸、普通话朗诵、中文歌曲卡拉OK等多项比赛。泰南各学校选派的147名中学生选手参加了14个项目的角逐。
 
2010年8月17日至20日是泰国宋卡王子大学的开放周,在开放周期间,宋大孔院举办了图书展览、文化体验及汉语展示课,此次活动不仅吸引了很多来自泰南地区的中小学生,而且也吸引了众多华裔、友人慕名前来参加。
 
2010年8月7日,宋大孔院举办第4届中小学幼儿园汉语教中学研讨会,泰南10个府、36所学校的60位本土汉语教师参加,20多位孔子学院教师和小语种志愿者也参加了会议。来自广西桂林机关幼儿园的毛爱珍老师做了题为“快乐识字”的精彩讲座。宋卡合艾市幺沃二中本土教师黄慧心女士介绍了从最简单的汉字偏旁部首教学到汉字笑话、谜语等形象风趣的十八种汉字教学方法。广西桂林的蒋国荣老师是一名非常优秀的中学语文教师,对初中低年级的汉语教学策略做了深入浅出的讲解。马峙院长为老师们讲述了关于汉语的《汉语教学用语》,整理了汉语课堂教学的规范用语,以及部首偏旁的固定表示方法,为本土教师提供了很实用的教学语言。
 
7月29日至30日, 宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了为期两天的汉语文化营。来自泰国南部沙敦府的沙敦中学58名学生和4位带队老师参加了这次的文化营活动。学生们使用了中华文化体验设备,参加两位书法、剪纸、中国结、武术、舞蹈等实践课。学生们都说,很高兴能来参加这个活动,学到了很多汉语文化知识。
 
7月22日,以邱宁处长率领的大使馆教育组领导一行四人到我院视察工作,看望了孔子学院的老师们,了解孔院工作进展情况。
 
宋卡王子大学孔子学院新学年第一期和第二期汉语语言文化营于7月20日至23日在宋卡孔子学院进行。来自泰国南部的6所公立中学的 143名学生参加了文化营活动。文化营开设了中国象棋、书法、舞蹈、武术、中国结、剪纸、歌曲等丰富多彩的实践课,作了中国传统文化的讲座和知识问答活动
 
7月17-18日,2010年泰国上半年孔子学院工作交流暨先进孔子学院现场会议在宋卡王子大学孔子学院召开,其主要目的是由中方院长们做述职报告。 中国国家汉办驻泰国代表庞利女士、泰国12所孔子学院中方院长出席了会议。
 
宋卡王子大学孔子学院2010年7月17日举办了泰南地区2010年度大学生中文书写书法比赛。共有来自泰南8所高校、15所中学的一百多名选手参加了此次比赛。比赛特邀了上海大学的书法家徐步群等专家担任这次比赛评委。比赛分为硬笔书法大学生组、软笔书法大学生组、软笔书法中学生组三场比赛。恰逢孔子学院的院长会议在宋卡王子大学孔子学院召开之际,特邀了国家汉办驻泰代表庞丽女士等为获奖选手颁发了奖状、奖金及纪念品,并合影留念。
 
7月14日马院长带领8位小语种志愿者前往南方大学参观访问。该校人文科学学院组织中文系师生进行很正式的欢迎仪式,学生进行了歌舞表演,马院长代表孔院赠送了图书一箱,小语种志愿者们先与中文专业学生进行了交流活动,参观了中文系,然后观摩本土教师的综合汉语课。
 
7月12日马院长带领8位小语种志愿者前往合艾市素湾翁学校参观访问,该校校长和汉语教师们与我院学员们进行了亲切的座谈。这所学校是私立学校,有学生3000多人,从幼儿园至小学都开设了汉语课。学员们分别在幼儿园2年级,小学2、5、6、年级听了本土教师(其中有三位是老教师)上的汉语课,大家觉得感受很深,学到了不少东西,纷纷表示还想多听几次课。马院长还代表孔子学院赠送给素湾翁小学拼音挂图和教学卡片。
 
马院长一行五人到宋大附中访问,与附中校长陈龙德进行了会谈,并赠送了一批汉语教材、有声挂图、拼音挂图,以示对附中汉语教育的支持。陈校长颇感兴趣地试用了电子挂图,向孔院来访者介绍了学校的规划,表达了请孔院帮找一所中国中学进行合作的意向。
 
我院成功举办2010年度第一次少儿汉语(YCT)考试。此次考试共有195名考生参加,其中一级75名考生,二级74名考生,三级41名考生,四级2名考生。今年创历史新高,汉语考试的人数明显呈现出逐年增长的趋势。院长助理王娟老师代表孔院向Suraththani Pittaya学校带队老师赠送汉语教学有声挂图一幅,鼓励他们积极组织学生参加YCT考试。
 
2010年6月19日泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院和泰国教育部泰南汉语网络中心共同举办第三届中学生“汉语桥”中文比赛泰国赛区泰南区预赛。共有来自董里、北大年、洛坤、沙敦、素叻他尼、普吉、也拉、以及宋卡等府的15个学校的25名选手参加了此次比赛。比赛过程高潮迭起,现场气氛紧张而热烈,场下更是座无虚席。合艾幺窝中学的林冬媚和幺索中学的黄美琪分别以233.5分和228.5分的高分脱颖而出获得一等奖,她们将代表泰南赛区参加在曼谷举行的全泰国中学生“汉语桥”总决赛。
 
我院八位志愿者参加了宋大文学院的拜师节活动,由综合泰语教师Jintana教授亲自指导学员们,参与了整个拜师节仪式,充分体验了校园文化。
 
6月16日,我院三位志愿者前往曼谷参加了高校志愿者报到就职仪式。仪式上泰国高教部、中国驻泰国大使馆、国家汉办泰国代表处的领导们纷纷讲了话,志愿者代表也发表了心声。
 
6月14日,本学期我院为宋大中文系每周开设三种类型(8学时)的汉语角,为中文系全体学生服务,采取多种语言文化活动,帮助提高他们的汉语听说水平,增加他们对中国文化的认识。我院八位小语种志愿者学员全部参与此项活动,作为他们的教学实践的一个环节。
 
6月14日,我院扶持宋大附中,专门派出一位志愿者在该校试点,推出汉语课程,在初中一年级的五个班全面开设汉语课。宋大附中校长说,如果汉语课程成功,该校将逐步向全校铺开汉语课程。
 
我院王娟老师带领我院选送的两位泰南大学生(宋大学生:苏广源;塔信大学学生:刘秀容)参加了6月11日在曼谷贵都酒店举行的泰国大学生汉语桥中文比赛。宋大的苏广源同学以精彩的演讲和精美的中国画赢得了观众的喝彩,获得了第五名的好成绩。
 
中国驻宋卡总领馆王灿芬总领事5月11日来到宋卡王子大学孔子学院访问,与孔子学院中泰方院长座谈,并看望了在宋卡王子大学的中国汉语教师、小语种志愿者学员和中国留学生们,和他们进行了亲切的交谈,并一起合了影。
 
5月28日晚,王娟老师代表孔子学院应邀参加了泰国合艾徳教会紫南阁五福盛会文娱晚宴。此次庆典为紫南阁创立39周年纪念暨德教树强学校第三座教学楼奠基典礼,泰国合艾侨团联合会主席方志雄先生、中国驻泰国宋卡领事馆领事王燦芬女士、泰国宋卡府府尹等应邀出席并发表讲话。晚宴期间,紫南阁代表和树强学校老师代表为大家表演了优美的歌舞,泰国华侨大学人偶表演代表团也为来宾们送上了精彩的节目。
 
由泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办的本年度第二次新HSK考试于5月16日在宋卡王子大学文学院4楼顺利举行。考试分四级、五级分别进行,来自泰南周边各府的51人参加了当天的考试。
 
5月6日,马峙院长带领8位小语种志愿者访问了合艾中华慈善会(养老院),听取了该院领导的介绍和个人从事慈善事业的感想。该养老院是民间华人社团组办的慈善机构,资金来源全部由各华人社团和个人捐助。其性质与我国的老人福利院相似,在院的老人都是从泰南各地无家可归的孤寡老人。马峙院长代表孔子学院购买了55条毛巾(按泰语发音,“55”表示开心,即“哈哈”),赠送给每位孤寡老人一条大毛巾,祝他们身体健康,天天开心,生活愉快,也赠送给该院工作人员们小礼品。
 
5月6日,马峙院长带领8位小语种志愿者访问了合艾最大的侨团之一----合艾客家会馆,该社团的侨领和总干介绍了社团的基本情况,有会员一千多人,大多数人的祖籍是我国广东省和海南省。马峙院长还赠送给该会馆汉语培训中心一套有声挂图,支持和鼓励他们更好地推广汉语文化。
 
为了增加小语种志愿者对当地华人的了解,加强对小语种志愿者的品德教育,5月4日下午,马峙院长带领8位小语种志愿者访问了82岁的爱国华侨陈芳明先生,听他讲述了创业的立国、对祖国的感受、以及对中国的年轻人的期望,并介绍了他对祖国教育的支持和赞助,座谈后参观了陈先生的两个企业(塑料管厂和制冰厂),晚上陈老先生在合艾陈宝发酒楼宴请了全体人员。
 
4月28日晚,马峙院长带21名中国汉语教师和中国留学生代表,应邀参加了中国驻宋卡总领馆王灿芬总领事举办的招待会。我院协助宋卡总领馆,负责登记和接待工作。参加招待会的有来自泰南各府的华人社团领袖和政府官员共近460多人。
 
4月19日-5月1日,我院选拔的泰南优秀中学生由我院泰籍秘书赖樱花带领,穿着孔子学院的熊猫体恤衫,4月19日-5月2日到桂林参加中国语言文化夏令营,学员们同时帮孔院带几十本宋大师生们赠送的泰文书籍,拿给广西师范大学作为交流礼品。他们在广西师范大学进行两周的汉语文化夏令营活动。本次夏令营安排的活动有:与中国学生结对子、汉语课、民族舞蹈、梦幻漓江表演、中国武术、中国传统手工艺、中国音乐、中国文化讲座、中国影视欣赏、京剧、参观和座谈、当地参观、旅游等。
 
4月10日,我院预订的中国文化体验设备全部到位。我院用国家汉办下拨的设备项目款购买了7套高新设备,目前已经基本全部调试好,所有设备将在5月下旬投入使用。本次设备购买中,原清迈孔院杨叶华院长在信息和技术上给予了大力的支持。
 
4月1-3日,我院举办本年度第二次书展,三天内共展出300多种汉语图书音像资料。为本次书展,我院特从国内购买了适合泰国小学生和初中生使用的各类书籍22箱(1000多册)。各学校和培训中心以及参加我院培训的各类汉语班、教师培训班、大中学生近200多人光临书展并购书。展出的书籍深受师生们的青睐。
 
Entrusted by Basic Education Dept. of Thailand Education Ministry, CI at PSU launched a 3-week training program for local teachers of Chinese starting from Mar. 22. 48 teachers in total across the country participated. The program was consisting of 3 sessions, each of which would take a week. All the courses were taught by teachers from GXNU and CI. For detailed Training Schedule, See below: 1st Week: Language Training (2 classes: Elementary & Intermediate) Spoken Chinese, Pinyin & Pronunciation Correction, Chinese Grammar, Chinese Reading, Chinese Reciting Skills, Chinese Writing 2nd Week: Chinese Learning & Teaching Technique Chinese Phonetics Teaching, Oral Chinese Teaching, Teaching of Chinese Characters, Class room Activities, Course Design, Chinese Teaching Methodology, Usage of Computer in Chinese, PPT Design. 3rd Week: Chinese Culture Chinese Knot, Paper Cut, Calligraphy, Dance of Chinese Ethnic Minorities, Chinese Songs.
 
CI held 2 happy camps for students from middle schools in South Thailand from Mar. 15 to Apr. 9, consisting of various language and cultural courses including Survival Chinese, Chinese Usage (Chinese Doggerel, Tongue Twister, poetry and Language Games ect.), Calligraphy, Computer, Paper Cut, Dance and Formation Drill.
 
Invited by East China Normal University, Prof. Ma, director of CI, on the afternoon of Mar. 15 gave a lecture that took more than 3 hours to about 120 volunteer trainees of Chinese Teaching, half of whom will be dispatched to Thailand to teach Chinese, and answered questions volunteers wanted to know.
 
Invited by Confucius Institute Headquarter of China’s Hanban, Prof. Ma took part in the conference held in Beijing for APEC CI Directors, in which directors gave their advice on the selection and pre-work training of Chinese Directors, had a discussion on the need of the directors and training, and the training draft program of local teachers of Chinese in APEC Countries.
 
On Mar. 14, CI held the 1st HSK test in 2010. 40 people attended the examination among whom, 21 chose level 4, 15 level 5 and 4 level 6. 2 more HSK examinations at CI will be conducted in May and Oct. respectively
 
Prof. Ma, the Director, went to Bangkok to pick up 8 volunteer teacher trainees of the total 46 across Thailand distributed to 7 Confucius Institutes. The trainees participated the welcoming ceremony held in Rachada City hotel by representative office of China’s Hanban on the morning of Mar. 10. In the afternoon, 8 trainees went to Hatyai on air with Prof. Ma. Opening ceremony of the volunteer teacher training program that lasted 10 months, 1020 class hours in total, was held on the morning of the next day. Chinese and Thai Directors of CI, members of CI Executive Committee and the related teachers participated. Trainees will attend 11 courses including Language Training and Sino-Thai Cultural practice.
 
3CI conducted the annual preparatory training program of Chinese teachers of Chinese from Mar. 1 to 5 for Chinese major graduates in South Thailand. 19 students from 4 universities participated. Courses of the program included Chinese Pinyin and Pronunciation Correction, Classroom Activities, Course Design, Design of Teaching Schedule, Chinese Teaching Methodology, Dance of Chinese Ethnic Minorities, Teaching of Listening and Speaking, Teaching of Chinese Characters, Blackboard Writing and Teaching Tools, Paper Cutting and Folding. After the Training, in accordance with trainees’ request, CI invited teachers in charge of Chinese Teaching from 3 local schools short of Chinese teachers to have a meeting with our trainees.
 
2 Dancing Teachers dispatched by GXNU have arrived at CI today. They will undergo teaching practice and cultural experience in Thailand in 2 months, responsible for 10 dancing teams, one kindergarten team, 5 primary school teams, 1 secondary school team, 2 Chinese association teams and 1 Teacher’s Team.
 
On Feb. 22, CI held the second conference of members of its Executive Committee in 2010, focusing on 4 issues: 1. Plan on Thai Language Training Program of Chinese Volunteer Teachers 2. Personnel Plan of CI in the Academic Year 2010-2011. 3. PSU-GXNU’s 3+1 and 6-week Chinese Training Programs. 4. Report on arriving situation and spending plan of CI’s Budget (A. CI’s Budget in 2010, B. the expenditure on Chinese Culture Experimental Equipment. C. Budget on Chinese Book Fair. D. Budget on the training program of Chinese Volunteer Teachers.). 5. Plan carrying out the Chinese Cultural experimental equipment. 6.Application of phone number in Volunteer teachers’ office. And so on.
 
On Feb. 20, the 4th semester of CI’s Chinese Courses began. 7 classes including 4 elementary classes (CH101, 102,103 and 104), 2 intermediate (CH201 and 202) and 1 advanced (CH301) were available with a total number of 120 trainees.
 
On Feb. 15, Prof. Ma, the director, paid a New Year visit to Mr. Chen Fangming, an 82 years patriot in Thailand with other 3 CI teachers to wish him healthy in the coming year of Tiger. On visiting Mr. Chen’s factory, he talked about his deep love towards the hometown, which could be easily seen from the schools he helped built and the students he gave scholarships for years in China. Besides, many local schools in South Thailand also received great financial support in Chinese Teaching from him.
 
On, Feb. 11, Prof. Ma and Teachers of Chinese Department at PSU, paid a visit to 3 Schools in Pattani.They watched Chinese Song Contest held by Tessaban 2 School in Pattani, South Thailand in the morning Informed of the visit, Mayor of Pattani met Prof. Ma and the other teachers coming together and entertained them in a grand hotel. After the lunch, Prof. Ma paid a visit to the 2nd Middle School of Pattani, Benjamarachutit School and met with Chinese Learners and representatives of Oversea Chinese there. The last destination was attached Middle School of PSU, Pattani Campus, one of the well-known middle schools in South Thailand, which impressed everyone with students’ high quality and enthusiasm of Learning Chinese. In order to support Chinese Teaching of the above schools, Prof. Ma presented them a set of talking posters of Chinese teaching.
 
On Feb. 13th, the eve of Chinese Traditional New Year (Chinese Spring Festival), about 60 friends including local teachers of Chinese, Chinese volunteer teachers and overseas Chinese students were invited to Confucius Institute to celebrate the grand occasion together. Consul of China in Songkhla, Mr. Huang Ruiqing on behalf of the Consulate participated. Teachers at Confucius Institute, leading by prof. Ma Zhi extended their New Year wishes that everyone would be healthy and everything would go well. Well-prepared Jiaozi (like dumpling) the traditional Chinese new year food was also served to everyone, during the New Year dinner, while Lucky lottery was also drawn at periods of watching Chinese New Year Program. Burst of Laughter and cheers could be heard all night from CI.
 
On Jan. 31st, approximately 300 students participated the Chinese Spring Day jointly held by Faculty of Liberal Arts and Confucius Institute at PSU. Students in Chinese major gave a detailed introduction of some Chinese New year necessities including Duilian (Chinese antithetical couplets put on the door), Hongbao (red paper envelope containing money as a New Year gift often given by elders to kids), Jiaozi (Chinese dumplings) and Niangao (kind of Chinese New Year food made of glutinous rice). A rhymed story recited to the rhythm of bamboo clappers in fluent Chinese by freshman students named “Happy New Year” received warm applause from the audience. And the funny versions of some Fairy Tale stories such as Snow White, Cinderella and Red Hat performed in Chinese made everyone double up with laughter. Chinese dramas ANOTHER SHOT, CINDERELLA and GRIL’S DORM enjoyed the most popularity and were chosen as the top 3. After the performances, some traditional Chinese games like catching benches, picking up Ping pang balls with chopsticks, tossing coins, word puzzle, threading needles and blowing candles were organized by the students.
 
From Jan. 26th to 27th, CI(Confucius Institute) held a Chinese language and culture camp for 122 students accompanied by 4 teachers of Rongxiang middle school in Hatyai, Songkhla. Various lectures such as Chinese songs, Chinese Calligraphy, papercut, Chinese Chess and Chinese History introduction were given to the participants. Among all the courses, practical ones like Calligraphy and paper cutting that enabled the students to finish a complete work on their own enjoyed the most popularity.
 
On Jan. 23rd, CI held a Chinese language and culture camp for 40 students led by 3 teachers from Saparachinee School in Trang Province. Students attended the practical lessons such as Chinese songs, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese paper cutting and listen to lectures on brief Chinese history and culture introduction as well as joined in a culture Q&A quiz. In the conclusion of the camp, prof. Ma, on behalf of CI, issued certificates and gifts to the participants. Students were satisfied with the camp, in which they not only practiced their Chinese, but also learn more about Chinese culture. They hoped to participated the kind of activities again.
 
On Jan. 16th, CI held the 9th Preliminary “Chinese Bridge”-Chinese Language proficiency competition for college students in south Thailand. 12 candidates from PSU, Hatyai Univ. Imperial Univ.of Yala, Taksin Unive and so on participated. Chen Meifang from PSU with fluent Chinese and impressive song “the solicitude of lover” won the first prize, while Liu Xiurong from Taksin Univ. and Su Guangyuan from PSU obtained the second and third prize. Three of them would on behalf of South Thailand participate the Thai round final held in Bangkok.
 
On Jan, 10th, CI held the annual Get-together for kindergarten and K-12 teachers of Chinese in South Thailand. 19 K-12 and 45 kindergarten teachers participated. Prof. Ma, the director of CI delivered New Year wishes and thanks to the participants for their continuous support and reported the achievements of CI in 2009 and asked for their advice on the programs in the New Year. Teachers had a animated discussion on the Chinese cultural activities of each school and the need of Chinese teaching materials. CI also introduced about 100 types of books and video materials published by China’s major press like Beijing University Press, Beijing language and culture College Press and so on by giving a book fair and provided the contact information of some major presses. It’s planed that 2 larger Chinese book fairs would be held by CI in the coming Mar. and Aug.
 
CI celebrated its third birthday on Dec.29th. 150 people including representatives of Chinese associations, K-12 teachers and volunteer teachers participated. Mr. Sonti Taechanan (the Governor of Songkhla Province) and Mr. Prai Pattano (mayor of Hatyai municipality) extended their congratulations by sending letters and flowers though could not come. Mr. Liu Guangsheng(general consulate of China in Songkhla), Dr. Chatchai(vice president of PSU). Pref. Lan Wei (representative of GXNU). Dr. Teo. Adisa (Thai Dean of CI) delivered a speech of congratulations to its successful operation and high remarks on its extraordinary achievements. Chinese and Thai Deans of CI issued “CI scholarship” to 9 students and “special contribution award” to 2 students. Then came the highlights of wonderful performances. Rhymed story “Good Fortune comes” recited by the freshmen to the rhyme of bamboo clappers brought the house down while the Solo “joyful songs of festivals” by Ms. Xiao Yue from GXNU push the ceremony to the climax. The anniversary was concluded in the sign language song “Heart of Thanksgiving” by all the staff of CI to extend their gratitude to all walks of life for their support and help.
 
On Dec. 25th, staff of CI were invited to attend the New Year Party held by the Faculty of Liberal Arts and performed a Chinese song “let the world be full of love” in chorus, which received thunderous applause. This kind of activity not only enhanced the friendship between Thai and Chinese teachers but also helped publicize the Chinese culture.
 
On Dec. 17th, Prof. Ma, the Director, had a meeting with delegation of representatives of school principals dispatched by Basic Education Committee of Thailand that were visiting GXNU. In the meeting, Prof. Ma introduced briefly about CI and expressed CI’s willingness to provide support and assistance to schools in South Thailand in Chinese teaching &learning programs.
 
Members of CI’s Executive Committee participated the 4th World Conference of Confucius Institutes hosted in Beijing from Dec 11th to 13th. The large scope of the conference, good results it would bring out and the variety of the content including exposition of CI resources and Multinational language, forum of Presidents of related Colleges and Directors of CI, Topics of Conference, and Get-together of international students, had greatly impressed the representatives. CI at PSU was elected as the Confucius Institute of the Year 2009 honorably. Dr. Chatchai, Chairman of the CI’s Executive Committee as well as the vice Presidents of PSU, on behalf of CI received the award from Ms. Liu Yandong, State Councilor of China.
 
On Dec. 6th, CI at PSU held Chinese Song Contest in South Thailand. Prof. He Xiaoming from Faculty of Music at GXNU, Prof. Xu Yan, member of China’s Academic Committee for College Vocal Music, Prof. Gao Ming, member of Music Education Committee in the department of China’s Higher Education were invited to be the judge. 23 candidates from Chinese associations and southern Universities including University of Hatyai, Taksin, Walailak and PSU participated. Ms. Chen Meifang’s “Song of Boat” originally sang by Deng Lijun a famous Chinese Singer won the first prize in the group of College students, while in the Adult Group, Mr. Cai Guangfeng with a impressive song “Keep the Root” in his deep voice won the championship. After the Contest, Prof. Ma, the Director of CI issued certificates, cash award and souvenirs to the winners.
 
On Nov. 29th, CI and Faculty of Liberal Arts jointly held a seminar on Confucius Ethics in Daily Life. About 65 people from colleges and schools of South Thailand attended the seminar. Philosophy scholars from 3 campuses of PSU delivered lectures respectively in the morning: Dr. Suchai from Hatyai Campus “Confucius Philosophy and Its Influence”, Dr. Supachai, Thai Director of CI on Phuket campus on “Social Problems and Confucius Philosophy”, Dr. Anticha from Pattani “The Difference and Similarity between Confucius Ethics and Social Morality of Thailand”. In the afternoon, all the participants were divided into 3 groups for further analysis and discussion on positive Influence and necessity of Confucius Ethics on Moral Education of the sociality.
 
On Nov. 27th, the Faculty of Liberal Art held a Food Festival for each major to display the local cuisines of the related countries. All the staff of CI participated. Chinese characterized food like sesame ball, Chinese Dumpling, Fried bun with filling, eggs boiled with Tea leaves and Jasmine Tea made by teachers of Chinese Department and CI staff together was the best selling food in the festival.
 
On Nov. 21st, CI held YCT Test of 2009。82 Candidates from Southern Provinces of Thailand including Nakhon, attended, of whom 48 were at 1st level, the rest at 2nd level. The whole process of the test was in order and concluded successfully at 11 am.
 
On Nov. 14, CI held a Chinese Mandarin Contest for College Students in South Thailand. Students selected and recommended by Universities and Colleges of South Thailand participated. The Contest was consisting of 2 sessions, self-prepared and extemporaneous speech. Candidates with extraordinary performance were approved by the judges. Prof. Ma. On behalf of CI, issued certificate and cash reward to the winners.
 
On Nov. 8, CI held a seminar on Chinese Teaching & Learning for College Teachers. Approximately 40 people from about 6 Universities (PSU, Trang Campus, Taksin Univ, Hatyai Univ. Vocational College of Songkhla. Imperial University of Technology). Professors from PSU and GXNU delivered lectures which included Ms. Huang Wangshu at PSU’s speech on how to design Thai-Chinese and Chinese-Thai Translation Courses, Prof. Ma’s 3 golden disciplines on Translation, and GXNU Prof. Sun Jiangyuan and Liao Enxi’s Brief Analysis on Chinese Character and Skills on Class Leading in and Concluding. Participants had an animated discussion on Translation, Teaching Material and Methodology of Comprehensive Chinese.
 
3 candidates, 2 of whom were selected and recommended by CI at PSU won Group 3rd Prize Award. And one of our Candidates, Miss. Liang Xiaoying got a personal 2nd Prize.
 
On Oct. 29. CI held a Chinese Language and cultural camp for 37 students from 3 Yala Middle Schools(Kanarajasdonn bumroong;Satree Yala; Phimanphittayasan). Various Courses including Paper Cut, Calligraphy were available, which greatly approved by the students and leading teachers. After the camp, CI presented every leading teacher a Panda T-shirt of CI, and schools Chinese teaching materials like talking posters of Chinese teaching, Pinyin and culture charts. Students were also provided with souvenirs.
 
On Oct. 18th, CI held HSK test of the second half of the year after one-month hard preparation and training of the teachers. All together 176 people which was the largest number of HSK participants for the last 5 HSK tests of 3 years, attended this test with 123 at Elementary & Intermediate Level and the rest at Beginner Level.
 
CI held a Get-To-Gether to celebrate Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Day and National Day. 130 people in total which included Mr. Liu Guangsheng, general consul of China in Songkhla, Consul Huang Ruiqing, leaders at faculty of Liberal arts, PSU, representatives from Colleges and schools Chinese Associations, Chinese Teaching Center of Songkhla, Chinese Volunteer Teachers, Chinese Overseas Students were invited. The big Family Reunion of Chinese in the soothing moonlight was cheered with moon cakes, casual talks, and extraordinary performances.
 
On Sep. 15, CI launched a large scale of New YCT test (test for young learners of Chinese). 210 freshman and sophomore students attended the test. Other Schools encouraged by CI also held the test which included Pattani campus of PSU with 90 attendees, Walailak Univ. with 80, Hatyai Univ. with 30, Taksin Univ. with 45, Technology Univ. of Songkhla with 80 and Imperial Technology Univ. of Songkhla with 90.
 
Mr. Yuangqiang and Ms. Huang Zheyu, journalists of Educaiton Sector at China’s Embassy in Thailand came to collect information of teaching and cultural activities of CI and volunteer teachers.
 
To greet 60 anniversary of China, CI launched a photo exhibition in which photos of China’s fast development and great achievements for the last 60 years was displayed.
 
On Sep. 5, CI hosted Chinese Calligraphy Competition for middle school students. 28 candidates selected and recommended from 10 Middle Schools of South Thailand participated. The Contest began after CI staff introduced briefly some basics of Calligraphy. Through careful judgment, 2 students won the first prize, 3 students got the 2nd prize and 5 the 3rd. Prof. Ma, issued award to each winners and present each school souvenirs.
 
On Sep. 3rd. CI held the committee conference of 2009, in which, Prof. Ma reported work from Jan. to Aug. In the conference, CI’s Budget of 2010, 3+1 and 6-week Chinese program cooperating with GXNU were reviewed and passed.
 
On Sep. 1, Chinese Department at PSU held Chinese Reciting Contest with CI’s support. 16 students selected from the whole department attended the contest. Some outstanding candidates will be recommended to take part in CI’s Chinese Mandarin Contest for College Students of South Thailand in Nov.
 
CI was honored as Chinese Test Centre of the Year 2008. 20 test centers in total received this honor worldwide.
 
CI held a Chinese Language and Cultural Camp for 84 middle school students from Pattalung School. Students learned various courses like dance of Chinese minorities, Chinese Martial Arts, Paper Cut, Chinese songs and calligraphy, and took part in games such as Chinese History Q&A. CI teachers were worshiped by students as superstars. The camp concluded in approval and high popularity. Students hoped they could come again next year.
 
CI and Chinese Teaching Centre of South Thailand jointly held 2 Chinese Language and Cultural Camps from Aug. 10 to 14. 157 students from 9 public middle schools of south Thailand participated. 24 teachers from CI and local Schools as well as 8 GXNU Thai students were involved in teaching and supervising. Various courses were available in the camping such as lecture on Chinese History and Culture and practice course like Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Paper Cut, Chinese Chess, Calligraphy, Chinese Dance, Chinese Songs and Formation Drill.
 
Dancing and Martial Arts Teachers of GXNU successfully finish their tasks at CI and went back to GXNU on Aug. 26. In the last 2 months, they helped trained 5 dancing teams, 3 of which will perform in the local celebration of China’s 60 anniversary, 4 martial arts and Taiji teams.
 
CI at PSU held the 3rd Executive Committee conference of the year in which, Prof. Ma summarized CI’s work from Jan. to Aug. and reported work plan in the coming four months. Budget Plan 2010 was reviewed and passed in the conference.
 
CI organized four types of Chinese Martial Arts and Taiji Classes from Jul. to Aug., taught by a professional martial arts trainer dispatched from GXNU. Not only trainees could learn Chinese traditional kung-fu but also obtain an access to the spirit of Chinese culture.
 
From Jul. to Aug. CI opened 5 dancing classes of various types, with GXNU’s persistent support in dispatching professional trainers. After the training program, trainees were going to perform what they had learnt on various occasions and celebrations.
 
CI held a 2-day Chinese Language and Cultural Camp for 80 students from 2 middle schools in Satun Province, from Aug. 4 to 5. During the camp, students learnt Chinese songs, Calligraphy, Dance of China’s Ethnic Minorities, Kung-fu and Paper Cut ect and listened to lectures on Chinese Traditional festivals and Chinese History &Culture. Impressed by the profound culture of China, students attend every course with high enthusiasm. The camp concluded successfully.
 
On Aug. 8, CI hosted Seminar on Chinese Teaching and Learning. 50 teachers from 14 K-12 schools of South Thailand participated. 4 teachers from China and local Schools were invited to give lectures in the seminar. Ms. Wang Yinglin from Yi Fu Primary School of Guilin Municipality of Guangxi Province, China, delivered a lecture on Chinese Teaching in Primary School of China, Ms. Huang Qiurong of Hatyaiwittayalai School shared some skills on teaching and Ms. Zheng Yanhua from Jiexi Kindergarten of Guilin (China) made an impressive speech on how to teach kids and Ms. Huang qiuyue expressed her private opinion on the teaching of beginners. After a lunch break, came the second session of the seminar, Discussion part. Participants exchanged their ideas on many practical issues like extra curriculum activities, computer-aided teaching, classroom activities, teaching of listening and speaking course and so on and shared their experience. At the end of the seminar, Prof. Ma, on behalf of CI presented one set of talking posters of Chinese teaching to each School and Panda T-shirts to teachers.
 
On Aug. 7, CI, Education Bureau, and Chinese Teaching Centre held Chinese Culture Competition jointly. More than 100 students from 12 schools in South Thailand participated. The competition included 7 contests which were oratorical, story telling, calligraphy, Chinese Pianting, Culture Quiz, Mandarin and Chinese songs contest. Each contest was divided into junior high group and senior group to compete respectively. Judgment groups were consisted of CI teachers, teachers of Chinese department at PSU and other invited judges. This competition was aimed at enhance students’ interest in learning Chinese language and culture, and strengthen cooperation and exchange between China and Thailand. Candidates displayed their talent in Chinese and their knowledge in calligraphy, painting and songs. After fierce competition, results came out with 3 prizes for each group. Ms. Khanitta, Director of Language Sector of Education Bureau, Songkhla, and Prof. Ma issued awards and took pictures with winners.
 
Results of New HSK test on May, 30 are announced today. 74% of 1st level examinees the total number of whom is 83 passed and the 2nd level candidates reached a passing rate up to 85%.
 
2 candidates selected and recommended by CI won the first and the third prize respectively in the Thai Round Final of the 2nd Chinese Bridge Competition for Secondary School Students. They will represent Thailand to participate the World Final of Chinese Bridge Competition hosted in China in Oct.
 
CI issues first 3 scholarships of 3000 Baht in 2009, one of which is given to Miss Liu Shanshan, a outstanding sophomore student majoring in Chinese of Hatyai Univ., the other two to Mr. Ma Guitong and Yi honggang first volunteer teachers of CI, now searching for further education in Taksin Univ. and PSU.
 
In order to improve students’ handwriting of Chinese, cultivate good writing habit and publicize Traditional Chinese Calligraphy, CI hosts annual handwriting competition of the Year for college students on Jul. 7. 60 candidates from 8 colleges including CI trainees participate. The competition was divided into 2 groups- writing with pen and brushes. With candidates concentrated in writing, one could hear but breathing. The scene is in order throughout the competition. Every candidate is trying to make their best works in given time. After strict and fair judgment, 10 in the group of pen writing, 8 in Brush writing, won prizes. Prof Ma, issued certificates of merit, cash reward and souvenirs to winners.
 
Results of HSK test in May are published today. 89% of CI’s examinees passed, among whom 50% of elementary and intermediate level candidates reached Level 5.
 
On Jun. 25, CI holds the preliminary of the Second Chinese Bridge – Chinese Proficiency Competition for Middle School Students in South Thailand. 17 students recommended by 9 schools participate. The competition is consisting of 3 session, self-prepared speech, Chinese Culture Q&A, and talent display. In the third session, contestants’ outstanding performances in singing, calligraphy, paper cut, and dance gain bursts of applause. After fierce competition, 7 candidates won prizes, some of them will take part in the final in Bangkok in the middle of Jul.
 
Entrusted by Education Bureau of Songkhla, CI organized a 2-day pre-work training program for new volunteer teachers of K-12 Schools arrived in May from Jun. 20 to 21. 22 teachers from 16 schools participated. The program was largely approved by volunteer teachers though it is very short for them.
 
Prof. Ma pays a visit to 3 key schools of Chinese Teaching and Learning including Shuqiang School, Suwangwong School and KH Training centre and donated 3 sets of talking posters of Chinese teaching to them for support. To extend CI’s gratitude for their persistent support and concern, the same chart is also given to Chinese Department at PSU.
 
6月16日下午孔子学院全体人员和文学院中文系全体教师举行本学期第一次协作会议,同事们共同商议了本学期的汉语教学工作和汉语文化活动事宜,双方表示将在新学期里狠抓汉语教学质量,共创品牌。会后教师们一起开心地进行火锅聚餐。
 
应PSU的要求,6月9日宋卡王子大学孔子学院为来自提大奴卡中学、圣通中学和六世王中学的30多名学生代表举办了汉语文化展示活动,学生们认真聆听了孔子学院樱花老师的中国概况,参加了冯冬梅老师的书法简介和实践,并向王慧老师学习了中国剪纸。各位老师的精彩讲解受到了学生们的热烈欢迎,他们纷纷表示希望孔子学院能多多开展此类活动。
 
2009年6月6日上午,由中国驻泰国大使馆和泰国教育部联合举办的第八届“汉语桥”大学生中文比赛决赛在曼谷贵都酒店顺利举行。本届“汉语桥”大学生中文比赛的主题是“快乐汉语、成就希望”,比赛分自拟演讲、知识问答、即兴演讲和才艺表演4个环节,共有来自泰国19所大学的19名选手参加了此次决赛。各位选手纷纷登台亮相,各展风采,经过激烈的角逐,共决出一等奖2名,二等奖4名,三等奖6名,其余为鼓励奖。由宋卡王子大学孔子学院选派的宋卡王子大学代表金永明以及塔信大学代表李倩也参加了此次比赛,最终,他们以优异的表现分获二等奖(第三名)和三等奖(第十名)。
 
为进一步激发泰南地区大学生学习汉语的热情和积极性,增进外国人对中国语言、文化的理解,同时,为第八届“汉语桥”世界大学生中文比赛决赛推荐优秀选手,2009年5月31日上午宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了2009年第八届“汉语桥”大学生中文比赛泰南区预选赛。 本次比赛主题为“快乐汉语、成就希望,共有来自宋卡王子大学、合艾大学、塔信大学等学校选派的7位选手参加比赛。比赛分三个部分:自选题演讲、知识问答和才艺展示,在才艺展示部分选手们有的唱歌,有的表演书法、有的表演中国秧歌,经过激烈的角逐,宋卡王子大学的金永明和黄晓春分别获得第一名和第二名,塔信大学的李倩获得第三名。宋大的金永明和塔信大学的李倩同学将代表泰南地区参加6月6日的泰国大学生汉语桥决赛。
 
2009年5月30日宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了新汉语水平考试。由于现有的汉语水平考试时间较长,对于一些水平较低的汉语初学者来说有一定的难度,为满足这些低端汉语学习者的要求,新HSK在原有汉语水平考试的基础上,减少了考试时间,降低了考试难度,进一步增加其实用性,新汉语水平考试共设有六个等级,本次考试为HSK(一级)、HSK(二级)试考,共有来自合艾地区各大中小学150人报名参加此次免费考试。据悉,新汉语水平考试达标者可得到中国汉办颁发的成绩报告。 考试当天,由孔子学院全体汉语教师担任监考,各中小学的汉语教学负责人亲自带领学生参加本次新型汉语水平考试。考试在孔子学院的精心安排下井然有序地进行,秩序良好,多数考生对HSK改进版反映较好,认为它能很好地考查自己的汉语水平,相信以后将会有更多的汉语学习者参加类似的考试。
 
2009年5月28日(农历五月初五),正值中国传统节日“端午节”,宋卡王子大学孔子学院邀请了孔子学院泰方院长阿迪飒、文学院全体中文教师、合艾地区各大中小学的汉语教师代表以及留学生代表共30多人与孔子学院全体教师共度端午佳节。 端午节活动在孔院公派教师唐永宝老师的主持下拉开了序幕,随后贺子晗老师作了关于端午节的讲座,大家边品尝着孔子学院精心准备的粽子和午餐边聆听着关于端午节的美丽传说和中国各地端午节风俗习惯等的介绍。端午节至今已经有2000多年的历史了,2008年中国将其定为国家法定假期,放假1天,虽然大家都身在异地,无法深刻感受到中国人过端午时的热闹气氛,但是这并不影响人们过节的心情,午餐后各位老师们还合影留念,部分教师和学生还一展歌喉,用另一种方式欢庆端午节。 此次庆端午中泰联谊会是宋卡王子大学孔子学院建院以来举办的第三次端午节活动。通过本次活动,使大家更深地了解了中国这一传统节日的文化内涵,同时也加强了孔子学院与当地汉语教师的联系,收到了较好的效果。
 
2009年5月17日泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举办了上半年度汉语水平考试,共有来自泰南地区的36位考生参加本次考试,其中初中级考生28人,以合艾地区的各大学的学生为主,此外还有来自洛坤府、也拉府、北大年等周边外府的师生;基础级考生8人,以合艾市的各中学的学生为主。此次考试考生严格遵守考试纪律,秩序井然。 自宋卡王子大学孔子学院成立以来学院每年举办两次汉语水平考试,分别为5月中旬和10月中旬,至今已举办4次,共有近300名考生在我院参加了考试。去年我们还为参加HSK考试的基础级和初中级考生举办了考前培训班,取得了良好的效果,通过率都在82%以上,深得考生欢迎,2009年下半年的HSK考试将于10月18日举行,估计参加考试的人数将成倍增加。另外,为满足不同人群的需要,今年还将继续举办中小学汉语考试(YCT),也将推出商务汉语考试(BCT)等一系列考试,相信也将得到社会各界人士的支持。
 
由国家汉办资助、宋卡王子大学孔子学院组织的泰南中学学生夏令营共18人于4月12日抵达中国桂林,他们将在广西师范大学参加为期14天的夏令营活动。 在本次夏令营活动中,营员们将学习一系列汉语课程,并与广西师大师生进行交流座谈。为提高营员们学习中华文化的兴趣,活动期间,夏令营不仅安排了关于汉字起源的中国文化讲座,同时还将进行丰富多彩的文体活动,如学中国民族舞蹈、武术和中国军棋、象棋,学打乒乓球、剪纸、做中国结等,形式多样,内容丰富。另外,广西师范大学还将组织营员们参观桂林茶科所茶园,品尝各种名茶,体验中国茶文化;都说“桂林山水甲天下”, 桂林也是一个旅游观光的好去处,营员们还将坐船游漓江、参观著名的象鼻山、七星公园、芦笛岩、靖江王府及美丽的阳朔西街、欣赏龙脊田园风光及体验龙脊的少数民族风情(龙脊梯田、壮锦、瑶族服饰等),他们还要到当地中学跟中国学生进行联谊活动。营员们通过本次夏令营,能亲身领略中华文化的丰厚底蕴。
 
2009年4月10日宋卡王子大学孔子学院举办了中泰大联欢活动,在孔院参加学习各夏令营、舞蹈培训班、武术班培训班、太极培训班、中小学汉语教师培训班的全体学员一百多人欢聚一堂,共度欢乐时刻。联欢会上学员和老师们表演了独唱、舞蹈、武术、短剧等十八个节目,节目一个更比一个精彩。最后孔子学院的老师们和所有培训班、夏令营的学员们共跳泰国舞蹈,中小学汉语教师培训班的学员们还向孔子学院的各位老师们赠送了精美的礼物,整个联欢会充满了欢乐、热烈的气氛。
 
2009年3月23日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院受泰国教育部基础教育委员会委托,举办第二期中小学汉语教师培训班。来自泰国中南部12府30所公立学校的36位中小学汉语教师参加了本期汉语培训。开班典礼上,泰方院长阿迪飒与中方院长马峙分别致辞。此次培训孔子学院本着帮助教师进一步巩固汉语基础,丰富教学知识,熟悉教学技巧和技能的原则,针对不同水平的学员分别开设了初级班、中级班和高级班,其中初级班开设基础汉语、拼音、词汇、口语、听力、剪纸、太极拳、舞蹈等课程,中高级班开设中级汉语、汉语语法、教学方法与技巧(拼音、汉字、词汇、口语、综合)、课堂活动、文化讲座、教学研究、教学法、太极拳和中国舞蹈等课程。 本次中小学汉语教师培训计划于4月22日结束。相信通过本次汉语培训活动,不仅能使受训教师获得宝贵的教学经验,同时能进一步提高各中小学汉语教师在知识储备、教学方法、教学水平和教学能力等方面的综合素质。
 
中华数千年的文明,孕育了“武术”这一文化精品。为促进中泰文化交流,使外国人更深地领会中国文化,3月2日开始,宋卡王子大学孔子学院面向泰南地区开办了免费中国武术培训班,由孔子学院从国内选派的广西师范大学专业教练进行授课,来自幺窝中学、坤维塔亚学校、树强学校、合艾太极拳协会及宋卡王子大学等学校的100多人参加了这次为期1个半月的培训。教练针对不同的对象的身体状况教授不同的内容,中小学生活泼好动,教授他们学习强身健体的武术操《卧虎藏龙》及《中国功夫》等,而对中老年人则教给他们具有修身养性、治病防病功能的太极拳。参与培训的大小学员们在武术老师的认真带领下,对每一个动作细细琢磨,反复练习,进步很快。虽然还存在语言沟通上的障碍,但是这并不妨碍学员们学习的积极性,课堂气氛活泼而轻松,颇受好评。此次培训将于4月中旬结束,届时将会进行汇报演出。 宋卡王子大学每年定期免费开办两期中国武术培训班,今年第二期将在7-8月份进行。
 
为进一步宣传中国传统文化,推进汉语教学的步伐,3月2日开始,宋卡王子大学孔子学院面向泰南地区开办了免费中国民族舞蹈培训班,选派了广西师范大学舞蹈教练进行教学,为期1个半月,开设了五个舞蹈班,约100多人参加了此次培训(分华人社团班;中学生舞蹈班;小学生舞蹈班,大学生班等)参加了这次培训。舞蹈教练根据不同教学的对象设计不同特点的舞蹈,面向小学生教授了节奏欢快、充满童趣的《亲亲茉莉花》,《欢天喜地》、《小鸭子》、《咏鹅》等剧目,而面对大学生则教授他们柔美奔放的藏族及维族舞蹈,面对中老年人则教给他们健身秧歌等。参与培训的大小学员们个个兴趣盎然。在舞蹈老师的认真带领下,学员们跟着老师一遍遍重复舞蹈动作,细细琢磨,反复练习,进步很快。课堂气氛活泼而轻松,得到了学员们的一致好评。此次培训将于4月中旬结束,届时将会进行汇报演出。 宋卡王子大学每年定期免费开办两期中国民族舞蹈培训班,今年第二期将在7-8月份进行。
 
3月7日大使馆教育组庞利老师和泰国教育部民立教育委员会领导到我院参观访问,看望了正在参加培训的泰国预备教师班全体学员。庞利老师和赖之华老师分别发了言,鼓励学员们认真学习,将来为泰国的汉语教育做出贡献。
 
3月7日,马峙院长和助理唐永宝老师应邀参加了国光学校孔子课堂揭牌仪式,该课堂的成立加强了泰南的汉语文化推广队伍的建设,将进一步扩大和推进汉语文化推广活动。
 
我院开办的中国武术培训一班(中小学生组)3月7日开始上课,培训时间为每周六、日下午15:00-16:30,该活动将持续到4月12日。
 
我院国内特聘武术教练开始在合艾太极拳协会进行太极拳教学和切磋活动,培训时间为每周三、四下午18:00-19:00,该活动将持续到4月12日。
 
3月2日晚,中国舞蹈培训一班(华人社团组)开班,该班将在每周一和周四的晚上进行培训,我院开办的中国舞蹈培训二班(中小学生组)3月2日开始上课,培训时间为每周一、三下午16:30-17:30,培训时间一直到4月12日,两个班均由我院选派的优秀舞蹈教练教学。
 
为了加快培养本土汉语教师的步伐,鼓励泰南中文专业毕业生加入到汉语教师的队伍中来,2009年3月2日至3月13日,宋卡王子大学孔子学院免费举办了预备教师培训班,来自泰南各大学的25位中文专业毕业生参加了此次特训。本培训开设教学法、教学方案设计、教学大纲设计、教学录像观摩与研讨、拼音正音、课堂活动、汉字教学、听说教学、板书和教具、剪纸折纸、教学实践(试教)、中国舞蹈等课程,为他们提供了理论和实践指导。本次培训班内容充实、形式多样,各位教师对学员进行生动活泼、深入浅出地教学,教学方法灵活富有吸引力,充分调动了学员学习的积极性,师生互动、生生的互动较好,课堂气氛活跃,收到了很好的教学效果。参加培训的学员对这次教师培训班的学习安排和组织工作予以了充分的肯定,一致认为这次培训活动在他们走上讲台前很有必要,给了他们很多教学专业知识和指导。 3月6日,中国驻泰国大使馆教育组领导庞利老师代表汉办来视察,并发表了讲话,谈到了汉语在国际交流中的重要性,鼓励毕业生们努力学习,泰国教育部民立基础教育委员会领导赖之华老师介绍了泰国汉语教育和教师紧缺的情况,并强调了汉语教师专业培训的重要性。最后,领导们跟教师们及学员们一起合影留念。 本次培训班的教学工作和相关活动安排周密而合理,取得了令各方满意的效果,为以后的师资培训积累了丰富而宝贵的经验。孔子学院还将于本月底配合泰国教育部对泰国的中小学汉语教师进行系统的培训。
 
YCT成绩到位: 我院2008年11月第一次举办少儿汉语考试(YCT),共有23人参加,获证书率为95%;其中13人参加YCT一级,12人过关;5人参加YCT二级,全部过关;5人参加YCT三级,全部过关。
 
1月18日宋大孔院协助中文系举办了“中国春节文化日”。 100多位中文专业学生和教师参加了活动。首先进行的是学生们的文艺表演,有舞蹈表演、中国传统武术、大合唱、话剧,节目精彩,滑稽幽默,赢得了满堂喝彩。文艺表演后,师生们一起参加了中国传统的游园活动,有接句传话、猜词、夹玻璃珠、投硬币、踩气球等游戏,笑声、叫好声不绝入耳。
 
1月17日,宋大孔院举行了“泰南中小学汉语教师联谊会”。来自泰南16所学校及培训中心的代表出席了会议。唐永宝老师代表孔子学院向代表们表示衷心的感谢和新年的祝福,对孔院2008年的工作做了详细的总结,就孔院2009年汉语言文化活动计划征求了与会代表的意见和建议。孔院向各位代表赠送了新年礼物以及教学光盘,最后,全体代表还一起参加了抢椅子、背气球、投壶等游园活动。
 
1月16日晚,马峙院长与其他孔院中泰方院长一起应邀参加了中国驻泰国大使馆张久桓举行的春节招待会。中外友人争先恐后地与将离任的张久桓大使合影。
 
1月16日,马峙院长前往曼谷,参加大使馆教育组组织的泰国孔子学院和孔子课堂会议,并应邀在会上介绍了有关预算和决算的经验报告,宋大中文系主任潘泽期老师受委托替泰方院长出席了会议。
 
1月12日下午,宋卡王子大学孔子学院召开2009年第一次孔子学院执行委员会会议,中泰方11名代表参加了会议,商议了09年汉语培训项目、计算机室的竣工时间与使用、2009-10学年志愿者和公派教师聘用、校园汉语广播、孔院奖学金等事宜。
 
12月28日下午,我院举行了孔院成立两周年茶话会,邀请了宋卡王子大学文学院的领导和教师参加,商谈了两年来孔子学院的工作和中泰之间的交流和合作。孔子学院和文学院的老师们还互送了礼物,表达了新年衷心的祝福,座谈会在热烈祥和的气氛中落下帷幕。
 
12月27和28日晚,马峙院长应邀与部分孔院教师分别参加了陶华学校核国光学校的新年晚会。跟往年一样,学校都准备了丰盛的晚宴,演出了精彩的文艺节目,并进行了抽奖活动和发红包。
 
12月26日晚,我院组织在PSU工作和学习的36位中国人参加由宋卡总领馆的新年招待会。吴仰禹总领事作了新年祝辞,汉语教师和留学生们纷纷上台一展歌喉,大家过了个愉快的除夕夜。
 
我院教职工7人应邀参加了宋大文学院每年一度的新年联欢会,大家载歌载舞,相互交换礼品,增进了相互之间的友谊。
 
唐永宝老师于12月14-17日到北京参加了第九届世界汉语协会大会汉语考试分会,递交了我院HSK工作总结,并在会上提出了对泰国HSK考试收费及考试内容方面具体的建议和意见。
 
马峙院长跟泰方副校长查柴博士、文学院助理院长翁帕拉博士一起前往北京参加了12月10-11日举行第三届世界孔子学院大学。有来自一百多个国家的240个孔子学院的约1000名中外代表参加了盛会。受国家汉办邀请,马院长在会上给代表们作了《如何做孔子学院预算和决算的报告》。马院长和翁帕拉博士还参加了12-13日的院长培训班。
 
我院10月19日HSK汉语水平考试成绩揭晓,本次考试是本院历届HSK考试中成绩最好的一次。参加考试人数为99人,其中基础级43人参加考试,37人获得证书,通过率:86%;初中级54人参加考试,46人获得证书,通过率:85%。
 
2008年12月20—21日,泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院成功举办了第二届泰南中文歌曲卡拉OK比赛。本着“公开、公平、公正”的原则,本次比赛特邀了2名来自中国的音乐专家作为评委。比赛分小学生、中学生及大学生&成人3个组进行预决赛。泰南地区的4所大学、16所中小学以及合艾市15个侨团选送的代表共计41名选手参加了此次比赛。 预赛共决出了16名选手进入决赛。在决赛中,选手们充分展示了自己的水平。来自(Pholwittaya)坡维塔亚学校的念美娴小朋友以一曲欢快的《童年》唤起观众对美好童年的回忆,赢得了满场喝彩;迪旦努克洛(Thidanukhro)中学的郭英英载歌载舞,以纯正的普通话,银铃般的歌声征服了评委的心;合艾德善堂的林文书先生则以一曲声情并茂的《其实你全部知道》把全场气氛推向了高潮。经过激烈的角逐,最终这三位选手得到评委的一致好评,分获小学生组、中学生组、大学生&成人组一等奖。评委关小敏和董瑜老师分别对各位参赛选手进行了详细的点评并倾情演唱《青藏高原》,博得观众的阵阵掌声,意犹未尽的观众也一展歌喉,主宾尽欢。孔子学院院长马峙教授为获奖选手们颁发了奖金、证书及纪念品。 赛后,选手们依依不舍,兴致勃勃地跟评委和孔子学院老师谈论自己学习汉语和学唱中文歌曲的感受,向音乐专家讨教声乐技巧,并纷纷表示希望孔子学院明年继续举办卡拉OK比赛,他们和更多的朋友将会来参加。
 
为推广汉语文化,提高泰南学生学习汉语的兴趣,进一步促进中泰友好与交流合作并培养跨世纪人才,泰国宋卡王子大学孔子学院于2008年11月22日及23日举办了“泰南普通话比赛”。参加比赛的有来自泰南各府近30所学校选派的30多名选手,比赛分为小学组、中学组和大学组,由自我介绍、自拟题演讲和抽签朗读三部分组成。参赛选手或热情洋溢或深情款款或娓娓道来,比赛十分精彩,经过激烈的角逐、细致的评分,比赛决出一等奖一名、二等奖两名、三等奖三名。马峙院长代表孔子学院为获奖的选手颁发了证书、奖金及纪念品。此次比赛不仅激励了学生学习汉语的积极性,同时也推动了当地的汉语语言文化教育。
 
宋卡王子大学孔子学院2008年11月8日举办泰南大专院校汉语教学研讨会。来自宋卡王子大学、合艾大学、塔信大学、宋卡职业学院、瓦莱拉大学等泰南九所大专院校的30多名老师参加了这次研讨会,清迈大学孔子学院杨叶华院长也应邀出席了研讨会。会上,宋卡王子大学文学院泰方院长Adisa首先致辞,随后宋卡王子大学孔子学院马峙教授从宏观上就中国高等学校对外汉语专业本科以及外国留学生汉语言专业课程设置问题发表了精彩的演说,而宋卡王子大学北大年校区黄望舒老师则从微观入手,针对泰国学生汉语学习中的常见错误,如离合词、把字句,进行了详细的归纳总结,并将自己在教学语法中积累的经验与与会者共享,赢得了阵阵掌声。其次,与会者还就汉语教学中遇到的问题以及听说课教学方法等问题进行了广泛、深入的探讨并交换了自己的意见。会后马峙院长代表孔子学院向各参会院校赠送了汉泰对照的中国文化丛书一套。 本次研讨会为期一天,与会者发言踊跃,气氛热烈,获得了一致好评,纷纷表示希望以后有更多这样的机会相互交流,以进一步提高教学能力。
 
On October 19, 2008, Confucius Institute at PSU successfully held the third HSK Test since its founding. This test was divided into 3 levels (beginners, elementary ﹠intermediate and advanced). Most of the beginner level candidates came from middle schools of south Thailand while college students from Phuket, Hatyai and Pattani Campuses of PSU preferred the second level test. In addition, some Chinese teachers in south Thailand and trainees in the CI also took part in the test. Early this year, the CI did some publicity and informed every school in South Thailand about the HSK tests. This time ninety-nine people registered, which marked the largest number in CI HSK history, including 43 at beginner level,54 elementary & intermediate and 2 advanced. Well-planned and organized by the CI, the test concluded successfully. To meet the needs of the society, the CI will hold YCT(Chinese test for kids) test on November 16th. BCT (Business Chinese Test) will be arranged next year. It’s quite certain that more and more people will take HSK tests, partly due to the fixed Test time of the CI every year, which provide candidates great convenience.
 
On Oct.1, the National Day of China, Director Ma invited the whole CI committee members to lunch at Sakura Hotel to express thanks to the pre-committee members for their great contribution and support, to welcome the new committee members and to celebrate the Chinese National Day.
 
On September 14, the Mid-Autumn Festival of China, in order to share the joyful moments with all the other Chinese in South Thailand, the CI invited nearly 100 people, including PSU Chinese major teachers and their relatives, Chinese overseas students, Chinese Thai, people from local schools, Chinese volunteer teachers at Songkhla, trainees and Thai friends of the CI, to spend the full-moon night together. In the Get-to-Gather, Director Ma, on behalf of all the staff of the CI, extended his warm welcome to the guests and expressed his gratitude to their support and help. Then with a buffet, the Get-to Gather started. After the dinner, wonderful performances were given by each group of guests and the CI staff. The story “Thumb and Index Finger” told by little Liang Ziwei(second prize winner in the first Chinese Bridge Contest for Primary School Students), won rapturous applauses from the audience. Mr. Guo Ruixiang, a local Chinese Thai, read his Chinese poem “the mortal and immortal”. The climax came when Ms. Feng Yunru, a student of the CI Advanced Chinese Class, sang and danced festively. The Chinese overseas students also sang their favorite Chinese songs together. At the interval, participants all tried their luck by drawing lots. At last, moon cakes were presented to each guest to taste the sweetness of a big family. This activity not only carried forward the Chinese traditional culture but also strengthened the relationship between CI and local schools, Chinese Thai, Thai friends, Chinese overseas students and volunteer teachers and so on. The Get-to-Gather ended in cheerful and harmonious atmosphere.
 
On August 9th and 10th, for collecting information about the local Chinese teaching condition of middle and primary schools, Director Ma Zhi as well as Chinese teacher He Zihan of the Institute went to Taohua Middle School and Shuqiang primary school, listening to Chinese classes given by local thai Chinese teachers. They taped the whole classes in order to give further help to improve local Chinese teaching.
 
In Thailand, as an increasing number of primary and middle schools have included Chinese in their curriculum, the research on Chinese teaching also becomes a hot topic. How to be a good Chinese teacher is an urgent question that needs to be answered for many primary and middle school teachers. In order to provide an opportunity for them for discussion and exchanging ideas and experiences, Confucius Institute at prince of Songkla University held “Chinese Seminar for Primary and Middle School Teachers of South Thailand” to help improve their teaching. About 50 local Chinese teachers from 26 schools participated. In the seminar, Doctor Lin Yuan and researcher Liu Xiaona from the institute lectured on “Chinese Characters and Chinese Teaching” as well as “Foreign Language Teaching and Reform of Middle and Primary School in China” respectively. Director Ma of the Institute elaborated on “Middle School and Primary School Chinese Teaching Methods”. A special guest from Chinese Teaching Center of South Thailand, Ms Huang Qiuyue also gave her opinion on “primary and middle school Chinese teaching strategy in Thailand”. After the lectures, a sufficient discussion was made by all the participants, focusing on the difficulties they meet in teaching Chinese. Teachers of the institute also asked for the participants’ advice on the Chinese cultural activities of 2009 and answered the questions of the participants on teaching methods. The Seminar ended in the agreements of all the participants.
 
During the Open Week, Confucius Institute gave great support to the students’ activities, by offering equipment, room and contest judges for the Karaoke Contest and Chinese Writing Competition respectively.
 
On the evening of Aug. 14th, Doctor Lin Yuan from Guang Xi Normal University of China gave a lecture on “Chinese Essay Writing and Academic Research” to Chinese major students at PSU. To express their gratitude, PSU students presented Doctor Lin, a Thai-featured gift
 
On August 13rd, Confucius Institute arranged the third Chinese Cultural Camp of this year. 35 middle school students from Satun participated. The camp included many practice courses such as Chinese Paper Cutting, Paper Folding, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Martial Arts and Chinese traditional Dance, which students were interested in. They told the working staff in the institute that they’d like to join in this kind of activities in the future if Opportunities were offered.
 
On 9th, August, the first Chinese Bridge Contest of Primary School Students in South Thailand was held by Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University. This competition was endeavored to provide students a platform to show their Chinese Ability and opportunity for them to exchange as well as learn from each other. The contest comprises 3 parts, subject speech, quiz about Chinese culture and skill performance. The performances of the little contestants were very cute and amazingl, especially the No 2 contestant named Liang Ziwei, whose story about Thumb and Index Finger won fierce applause from the audience and contest judges. When asked about the contest, participants all said, though the competition was very intensive, they loved it. After the competition, Professor Ma, Director of the Institute issued award to the winners. This contest not only encouraged primary school students to learn Chinese and let them know more about Chinese culture.
 
On August,8th, 2008, all the eyeballs were attracted to Beijing where the 29 Olympic was held. 100 people including Chinese teachers in the PSU, Overseas Chinese students, Chinese volunteer teachers and part of the Chinese thai watched the game together in the Confucius Institute. It is thought that it’s not only China’s pride but also the pride of Chinese people all over the world to hold Olympics in Beijing. Also it’s a leap in the 100-year Olympic history to be held in China, a huge country with a population of 130 million. 29th Olympic also marked a new start which will enable Olympic dreams and spirit broadcast and develop in a wider way. As the opening ceremony proceeded, attendees cheered at times for Olympics and for deliver their best wishes to Beijing and china. The night was spent in a proud and gay atmosphere.
 
In Order to encourage college students to learn Chinese and improve their handwriting, on August 2rd, 2008, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University, Srinakorn jointly held Chinese Handwriting Competition for K-12 Students. 90 primary school students and about 60 middle school students selected and recommended by their schools participated the final. 40 in total won prizes. The money awards, prizes and certificated were provide by CI. Mr.Fang Zhixiong(Chairman of Hatyai Chinese Thai Association), Director of CI and principal of Srinakorn issued prize to winners.
 
In order to encourage college and middle school students in South Thailand to learn Chinese and to improve their Chinese calligraphy skills, On Aug. 2nd, 2008, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University held Calligraphy Competition for College and Middle School Students. Contestants selected and recommended from colleges and middle schools participated. After the competition, Contest Judges affirmed the performances of the competitors, and pointed out the significance of Calligraphy Learning in Arousing students’ Interest of learning Chinese. Precious advice was also given to the competitors to further improve their Calligraphy skills. In the end, Winners were issued Certificate of Merit, money award and souvenirs by Confucius Institute.
 
In Order to encourage college students to learn Chinese and improve their handwriting, on August 2rd, 2008, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University held Chinese Handwriting Competition for College Students. 35 students from colleges of South Thailand participated. 12 contesters won the first, second and the third prize respectively. Director Ma Zhi of the Institute issued the winners Certificate of Merit, money award and souvenirs.
 
On July, 30th, 2008, Director Ma Zhi paid a visit to Hatyai university (a private one) with other four Chinese teachers of Confucius Institute. During the visit, Professor Ma Zhi talked with the Dean of the International College on possible cooperation of Chinese teaching. Confucius Institute presented a box of Chinese book to Hatyai University.
 
On july 29th, Director Ma as well as the other 3 teachers of CI paid a visit to the largest Chinese Training centre in Hatyai, K•H, and had a talk with head of the centre on possible cooperation of Chinese training, HSK and YCT tests, ect. At last Director Ma on behalf of CI presented some books to K•H.
 
On July 25th, the 2nd Chinese cultural camp that lasted a week was finished successfully. Students from middle schools arranged by Chinese Education Centre of South Thailand, participated. The whole week was filled with strong colors of Chinese traditional culture. During the camp, a lot of Chinese-featured courses such as Chinese paper cutting and paper folding as well as Chinese calligraphy were given. Additionally, teachers from Guangxi Normal University taught students how to perform Chinese martial arts and dances of nationalities. The camp was a success. At break, in order to extend their thanks to the teachers of CI, students did some little performances and invited teachers to join in, which livened the atmosphere up and promote the friendship between teachers and students as well. Though not long, the camp made students knew more about Chinese culture, and on the meantime stirred their interest in learning Chinese.
 
There were 33 HSK applicants, of whom 31 took part in the test. At Beginners Level among 19 people, 8 got certificates(passing rate: 42%). At Elementary and Intermediate Level among 12 participants, 10 got certificates (passing rate: 83%)

On June 12, Faculty of Liberal Arts of PSU celebrated the annual Respecting Teachers Day. All the faculty and staff members of Confucius Institute were invited to the activity. The activity started at 9 o’clock. Nearly 400 students lined up under the teaching building in good order with rows of teachers sitting on the site of the hall. The students held a solemn and grand ceremony. They sang in one voice the poem praising and thanking the teachers. The students, on their knees, presented to the teachers the flowers they made the night before. Many teachers and students were in tears. Prof. Ma, the CI director was invited to make a speech. He said, “The Thai Respecting Teachers Day is a good way to respect and honor teachers. One the one hand it helps raising the teachers reputation, on the other hand it is an excellent way of traditional education. It is of great happiness and honor to be a teacher in Thailand.”

On June 8, 2008, the Confucius Institute at PSU held a get-to-gather for the traditional Chinese festival ‘Duanwu’. Forty people (CI members, teachers of Chinese in PSU, some Thai Chinese friends and some students from advanced Chinese class) joined in the activity. Prof. Ma, the director, made a welcoming speech and told the story of the festival and its culture. Mr Guo, a Thai Chinese, recited a poem written by himself in praise of the motherland. Then the participants enjoyed the sticky rice cakes and fruits, and sang Chinese songs. The party concluded in great joy and happiness.
 
On June 1, the 1th Chinese Bridge--Chinese Proficiency Competitionfor Secondary School Students in South Thailand (with the theme of Prosperous Culture, Charming Language) was held in the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University. The purpose of this competition is to build a platform for young learners of Chinese to exchange and learn from each other, to promote their interests and enthusiasm in learning Chinese language, to help them better understand the Chinese language and its cultures, and also to choose the excellent candidates for the national competition. Students from the southern provinces (Songhkla, Betong, Yla, Phuket, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Patthalung and etc.) took an active part in the competition. After the challenge of speeches, Q&A and performances of Chinese arts and culture, the Confucius Institute honored the winners with certificates and presents. The first four students will be recommended to go to Bangkok for the national competition in mid-June.
 
On May 19,Director Ma and Mr. Tang Yongbao at the Confucius Institute were invited to attend the celebration party of the 37th anniversary of Telk Kha Hui Chee Nam Kok Hatyai and the first anniversary of its attached school. People, old and young, put on wonderful performances. Director Ma donated 5,000 baht as a support to the education of the Chinese school.
 
At 2:25 on May 19, 2008, the Confucius Institute at PSU held a mourning ceremony for the victims of the earthquake in Wenchuan Area. Prof. Ma, director of the institute expressed deep condolences for the dead, “The earthquake damaged the earth but it has gathered love from all and strengthened our will and unity. Though far away from home, we are closely related with our motherland.” Facing the direction of China all the participants mourned for the dead in silence for three minutes and then followed by donation. The total amount of about 46,000 bahts has been submitted to the Chinese General Consulate in Songkhla together with the money donated by the Chinese Association of Hatyai. Over 50 Hanban Chinese teachers, volunteer teachers, Chinese students and some local Thai Chinese took part in the activity.
 
On May 18, Confucius Institute at PSU held HSK Test for the first half of the year after its first HSK test in November, 2007. Altogether 31 people took part in the test with 12 participants at Elementary and Intermediate Level in the morning and 19 at Beginner Level in the afternoon. Most of the people are students from PSU and some local middle schools. Confucius Institute plans to hold another HSK Test in October for the second half of the year at three levels (Beginner Level, Elementary and Intermediate Level, and Advanced Level).
 
On April 6, 2008,both contestants sent by Confucius Institute at PSU won the third price at the Thai National University “Chinese Bridge” Competition with excellent performance. At the closing ceremony, Mr Zhang Jiu-huan, the Chinese Ambassador in Thailand made an important speech and delivered certificates and gifts to the winners. The two contestants are Mr. , 3rd year student of PSU and Miss,2nd year student of Thaksin University who took part in the preliminary competition in Confucius Institute where they received some supervision and training from the Chinese teachers. The students think they have benefited a lot from the competition. On the one hand, they have improved their knowledge of Chinese language and culture, and on the other hand, they have made a lot of friends.
 
On March 21, the 10-day Happy Chinese Camp organized by the Confucius Institute at PSU came to a conclusion. 17 students from 7 schools in South Thailand participated in the program which offers Chinese language and practical and cultural activities such as Chinese parade, Chinese computer, Chinese paper cutting, Chinese songs, Chinese dances, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese chess and etc. At the closing ceremony, the students put on their performances to express their thanks to the teachers at CI. Though the time of the camp is short, it promotes the development of the Chinese language and culture. It also helps the Thai students further understand Chinese culture and stimulate their interest in learning Chinese language.
 
On March, the Confucius Institute at PSU, co-organized with the Thai Basic Education Commission, launched its training program for teachers of Chinese in South Thailand. Teachers from 7 provinces gathered for a one-month training (150 hours). The Confucius Institute offers different courses on Chinese skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. The CI also conduct series of lectures on Chinese cultures and Chinese teaching methodologies combined with seminars. Some practical sessions are arranged for Chinese songs, paper cutting, Chinese computer and calligraphy which are highly appreciated by the participants.
 
The Confucius Institute offers the second Chinese language class for faculty and staff members at PSU free of charge. Lots of people applied for the program. This class began on Feb.19.
 
The 4th semester Chinese Programs (CH102, CH201 and CH204) of Confucius Institute at PSU started from Feb.16. The programs will last 10 weeks.
 
Confucius Institute at PSU held a grand get-to-gather and invited Chinese working or studying in Thailand to share the Spring Festival. Over 50 teachers and students joined the party for the delicious New Year dinner and enjoyed the annual CCTV new year performances. Confucius Institute also had a good-luck draw for the participants. Mr Wu Guoting, the Chinese consulate in Songkhla, attended the activity and extended new year wishes to everyone on behalf of the consulate.
 
The rerult of the HSK Test in November of 2007 in Confucius Institute at PSU is issued today. Among 73 participants, 44 have got certificate of four levels: 1 at Advanced Level, 14 at Intermediate Level, 15 at Elementary Level and 14 at Basic Level. The passing rate is 60.27%.
 
In order to help students be familiar with the Chinese Spring Festival atmosphere and to promote Chinese festive culture, the Confucius Institute at PSU held a Chinese Cultural Day on Feb.2 together with Chinese Department as part of Chinese teaching. More than one hundred students of Chinese major and teachers took part in the activity. 18 students from Taksin University were invited to be present.First the students put on 3-hour performances in Chinese which aroused thunderous applauses, cheers and laughter and then followed by eight kinds of traditional Chinese games: 1. Touching Nose; 2. Word Guessing; 3. Candle Blowing; 4. Race with a ball; 5. Fishing; 6. Badminton Throwing; 7. Glass-ball Picking; 8. Needles and Thread. At the end of the activities, the student representatives of different grades expressed their thanks to the Confucius Institute who has created a good Chinese learning environment & favorable conditions and wish them a happy new year.
 
On, Jan.28, the Hanban delegation headed by Mr Ma Jianfei, Deputy Director, visited Confucius Institute at PSU.
 
On the evening of Jan.26, Prof. Ma, together with other directors of Confucius Institutes in Thailand, was invited to the Chinese New Year Banquet by Chinese Embassy in Thailand.
 
On Jan.26,the Confucius Institutes in Thailand held the annual conference in Chiangrai. The Hanban delegation headed by Mr Ma JIanfei, Deputy Director, and Madame Pang Li from Chinese Embassy, attended the meeting.
 
On Jan. 19, a Get-To-Gather for Teachers of Chinese in South Thailand was held in Confucius Institute at PSU. Representatives from 19 schools participated in the meeting. Prof. Ma, the director of CI, delivered the report of the achievements of the Confucius Institute and expressed his thanks to the teachers for their support and cooperation. The teachers had a heated discussion on the programs of 2007 and proposed a lot of good comments on the programs of 2008 such as CYT test, Chinese calligraphy contest, karaoke competition, and etc. The Confucius Institute also distributed some teaching materials to the teachers. The get-to-gather concluded in happy atmosphere with the traditional Chinese games and the performances by the teachers.
 
In order to help Thai college students better understand Chinese culture, mobilize their insterest in Chinese language and promote Chinese language and culture, on Feb.13, the Confucius Institute and the Chinese club at PSU organized a Chinese caligraphy training program for students of PSU. Mr Yi gave a brief introduction about Chinese caligraphy and then students exercised under the supervision and at the end they demonstrate their "masterpieces".
 
On Dec.28, Prof.Ma wiith twe other colleagues went to the new year party at invitation of one of the two largest Chinese schools in Hatyai where Mr Ma, on behalf of Confucius Institute, donated about 100 books to Mr.Mr. Nikhom Preechaworakul, the School Board Director and the President of Hatyai United Chinese Association.
 
On Dec.27, Chinese General Consulate in Songkhla held the new year banquet. Over 110 Chinese working or studying in Songkhla attended the party. The faculty and staff members together with 45 Chinese students and teachers in Prince of Songkla University joined the party and presented their performances such as 'Grateful Heart' to express their thanks to the General Consulate for their support and kindness.
 
On Dec. 28, 2007, Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University celebrated her first birthday. Mr. Sonti Taechanan (the Governor of Songkhla Province), Mr. Wu Yang-yu (Chinese General Consulate in Songkhla), Mr. Chan Leelaporn (Vice Mayor of Hatyai Municipality), Mr. Boonsom Siribumrungsukha (President of PSU), Mr. Cahichait Ratanachai(Vice President of PSU), Mr. Nikhom Preechaworakul (President of United Chinese Association of Hatyai City) and about 300 teachers, students, representatives from colleges, schools, Chinese associations and etc. attended the grand ceremony.
 
From Dec.9 to Dec.17, the 4-people PUS Confucius Institute delegation headed by Dr Chatchai, Vice President of Prince of Songkla University, attended the Second Confucius Institute Conference in Beijing. About 1,100 delegatates from 210 confucius institutes in 64 countries were present at the meeting.
 
On Dec.8, 2007, the first Chinese Karaoke Competition in South Thailand was held by Confucius Institute at PSU. The competition was divided into two groups: 1. College Students and Adult Group; 2. Elementary and Middle School Students Group. The participants were representing 8 universities and colleges, 12 elementary and middle schools, as well as 15 local Chinese associations. The oldest competitor is over 60 and the youngest 6.
 
On Dec.1, Confucius Institute at PSU held Chinese Composition Contest. In the College Group, 陈天心got the first place and 梁玉兰the second. The champion of the Middle and Elementary School Group was 梁晓莹, 蒋娟丽and陈锦发got the second and the third place. Mr Ma, the dean of the institute, delivered the prize, gifts and certificates to the winners and encouraged all the contestants to learn Chinese well to contribute, in the future, to the cooperation and exchanges between China and Thailand.
 
On Nov. 29, Chinese Short Play Competition was held in Confucius Institute at PSU. Eighteen teams took part in the preliminary contest. Four teams joined the final. Mr Ma, the dean of Confucius Institute delivered the gifts to the winners.
 
On Nov.29, the 7-people delegation of Chinese Hanban headed by Director Qiu Ning accompanied by Thai government officials came to visit Confucius Institute at PSU. They met with the Chinese university teachers and volunteer teachers of Chinese. Mr Qiu gives high remark about the achievements of the Confucius Institute and sends some audio-visual materials to the Confucius Institute.
 
On Nov. 24, Confucius Institute at PSu held its first HSk (Chinese Proficiency Test) Test. The institute has done a lot of preparation for the test (notice on the website, notice delivered to schools, students and society, and etc.) Altogether 73 people took the test at three levels: 24 at Beginner Level, 47 at Elementary and Intermediate Level, and 2 at Advance level). Most of the participants are students from Hatyai Campus and Pattani Campus of Prince of Songkla University Siongkhla, middle school students and teachers of Chinese in South Thailand and people of all walks of life in the local area. In 2008, Confucius Institute plans to hold HSK Test twice and add HSK test for children (Chinese Test for Young Learners).
 
On Nov.17, Confucius Institute begins its 3rd semester Chinese language training. There are altogether 129 students in eight classes at different levels and different subjects.
 
On Nov. 11, 2007, Confucius Institute at PSU held a get-togather for the college teachers of Chinese in South Thailand. Mr Wu Guo-ting, Chinese consulate in Songkhla attended the meeting and sent books to the representatives from 13 colleges and universities. Ms Yang, Director of Confucius Institute at Pughet of PSU and Prof. Lin Ke, Director of Confucius Institute at Supan Buri. The participants discussed over the issues of the textbooks of Chinese language courses, language and cultural activities, Chinese teaching and research and the problems and difficulties in Chinese teaching.
 
On Nov.3, Mr. Suchat T. Khun, a second-year PSU Chinese major student recommended by Confucius Institute and his Chinese teacher Ms Fu Lin, were invited to attend the good-wish ceremony to the health of the King in Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, together with Mr. Korn Dapparangsi, the former Vice Premier of Thailand and the President of Thai-China Friendship Association, the representatives of excellent students, and members of the Chinese associations.
 
From this semester, the first and the second year PSU students majoring in Chinese language will start their Chinese language practice every day in afternoon in Confucius Institute. This activity will be jointly supervised and directed by Thai and Chinese teachers.
 
On Oct. 28, 2007, Confucius Institute at PSU held South-Thailand Seminar on Chinese Teaching & Learning for teachers of Chinese at elementary and middle schools. Teachers from 15 schools attended the seminar. Three teachers made speeches: 1) Chinese language Teaching and Chinese Culture; 2) Application of Classroom Teaching Techniques and Information Resources, and 3) Chinese Teaching Methodology in elementary and middle schools. The participants had a discussion on the Chinese teaching and textbooks.
 
On Oct.24, 2007, Chinese language teacher Mr. Tang Yong Bao, sent by the Chinese Hanban from Guangxi Normal University, arrived at Hat Yai of Thailand and startes his 2-year teaching job in Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University.
 
On Oct.12, 2007, Mr Suchat T. Khun, a second-year PSU Chinese major student, sent and supervised by Confucius Institute, took part in The Final of Confucius Cup Putonghua Competition of Thailand (College Students Group) in Bangkok. Mr Suchat T. Khun got the first place and was given scholarship to study in China. He plans to go to Guangxi Normal University to study Chinese language and culture for one year starting from early March of 2008.
 
On September 30, 2007, Confucius Institute and Faculty of Liberal Arts at PSU held Seminar on Confucius Ethics in Daily Life. Forty-four people from 8 countries (Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Myanmar, Viet Nam, Cambodia and Nepal) attended the seminar. All the participants think it necessary to keep on and further study the traditional cultures such as Confucius ethics, and cultivate / educate young people with these ethics so that the society could develop healthily.
 
On Sept.29, the teachers of Confucius Institute shared moon-cakes with the students in both PSU and Confucius Institute explaining the tradition of Mid-autumn Festival. Confucius Institute held an evening party the same day. About 50 Chinese took part. Mr. Wu, Chinese Consulate in Songkhla and the committee members of Confucius Institute were invited to the party. All the people visited the Gallery show for the 58 anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
 
From Sept.20 to Oct.20, to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, Confucius Institute opens a gallery entitled “Fast Developing China” covering Friendship Between China and Thailand, Education, Economy, Sports, Tibet, Xinjiang, Agriculture, Women, Arts and so on.
 
Between Sept.24 and Sept.28, Confucius Institute and the South Thailand Chinese Education Center jointly conducted the training program for teachers of Chinese in elementary and middle schools. Twenty-five Thai teachers participated in the program.
 
On Sept.22, Prof. Ma and Yao Xingqing were invited to the evening party in Srinacorn School held by the United Chinese Association of Hatyai to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. The evening was full of festive atmosphere with wonderful performances by different Chinese associations and students from three Chinese language schools: Srinacorn School, Kobkarnsuksa School and Khunathamwitaya School.
 
The exciting Preliminary Competition in South Thailand of the ‘Confucius Cup’ Putonghua Competition was concluded yesterday. This competition was divided into three groups: Competition for College Students was held in Confucius Institute on Sept.8; Competition for Middle School Students was held in Srinacorn School on Sept.8; and Competition for Elementary School Pupils was held in Kobkarnsuksa School.
 
On Aug.26, the Hat Yai Chinese Association and the other Chinese asociations in South Thailand held a welcoming banquet for Mr Wu Yangyu, the new General Consulate of China in Songkla, Thailand. Mr Ma, the dean of Confucius Institute, and Ms Yao Xingqing, the dean's assistant, were also invited to the banquet.
 
In order to promote programs of Chinese language and culture, Confucius Institute opened four classes of Chinese dances for the local people: Class for Students; class for teachers of Chinese language; class for Chinese associations; and class of Chinese drums. About 100 people joined in the programs. The teachers are professional dancing experts from Guangxi Normal University.
 
The Art Troup of Guangxi Normal University headed by the university Vice President Prof.Bai, invited by Confucius Institute at PSU, came to put on two performances of Chinese culture in Hat Yai l. Over 4000 people had watched the performances. The evening shows were of great success.
 
Confucius Institute held three Chinese Language and Culture Camps from August 2 to August 9. More than 190 middle and high school students took part in the camps.
 
Dr Cai Chang Zhuo, the Director of Office of International Exchanges at Guangxi Normal University, arrived at PSU Hatyai campus on July 31. He comes here, on behalf of Guangxi Normal University, with the following missions: 1. To listen to the report of the progress of Confucius Institute; 2. To check the finance of Confucius Institute; and 3. to discuss with the PSU leaders about possible exchange and cooperative programs.
 
The two professional dancing teachers from Guangxi Normal University arrived at PSU on July 30. They will teach Chinese folk dances to the local people between July 1 and July 12. The applicants for the dancing program are teachers and students from colleges and middle schools, Chinese volunteer teachers, representatives from the local Chinese associations and etc.
 
On July 28, over 600 people, Chinese and Thai, from different parts of South Thailand came to the Farewell Party held in Hatyai Lee Garden Hotel to express their thanks to Mr Yao Boming, the Chinese General Consulate in Songkla who is going to retire next month.
 
On July 21 and 22, more than 50 contestants from Songkla and Yala Provinces took part in the exciting Chinese Typing Contest in Confucius Institute.
 
On July 20, a group of 15 members of Haka Chinese Association from Battani Province headed by two vice presidents came to visit the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University. Dr Sujitra, the Thai Dean, Ms Yao Xingqing and other faculty members met the delegation and had a group picture together with the guests.
 
A group of about thirty teachers and students from Jiangxi Normal University came to visit Confucius Institute on the morning of July 24. They talked with the teachers and staff member in the institute and had a group picture together.
 
On July 21 two graduates majoring in Teaching Chinese to foreigners arrived at Confucius Institute at PUS. They will take part in the Chinese teaching and cultural programs for three weeks in the institute.
 
On July 10, 34 high school teachers visited Confucius Institute. Ms Teerisara, the dean's asistant gave them an introduction about the institute in details.
 
On July 16, Headed by Prof. Ma, the members of Confucius Institute at PSU, Hatyai, took part in the Chinese Culture Day on PSU Pattani campus. There were various performances such as Chinese dances, Chinese songs, Chinese Gongfu, Chinese fashion show, tea making and etc.
 
Confucius Institute at PSU, on behalf of the Chinese Teaching Center in South Thailand, held a two-day(July 12-13) training program for the 10 volunteer teachers of Chinese and 15 Thai Chinese teachers in state-owned schools in Songkhla area. Confucius Institute delivered seven lectures: 1) Orientation on Thai-Chinese Culture; 2) Designing of Syllabus; 3) Tips by an Experienced Volunteer Teacher of Chinese; 4) Designing of Lesson Plan; 5) Class Organization; 6) Activities in and out of class; and 7) Teaching Methodologies.
 
On June 23, Mr Suchat T. Khun, a second-year PSU Chinese major student, sent and supervised by Confucius Institute, took part in the Preliminary Contest of the 6th International “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students in Bangkok and won the 3rd prize.
 
In the past few weeks, Prof. Ma, the dean of the Confucius Institute at PSU, visited many of the local schools in Songhkla Province and met with the teachers of Chinese language to get better understanding of their Chinese programs. He discussed with them about the exchanges between Chinese schools and the local Thai schools and the explore the possibilities of cooperation. Prof. Ma also encouraged the teachers of Chinese to send their students to attend the contests and activities related to Chinese language and culture organized by Confucius Institute.
 
On June 15,Dr. Marinescu delivered a lecture at Confucius Institute on China and the West Western Studies Flowing East while Chinese Studies Flowing West with a look at some examples of writing projects concerning China from 17th to 21st centuries.
 
On June 14, Faculty of Liberal Arts of PSU held a solemn and grand ceremony. All the faculty and staff members of Confucius Institute were invited to the activity.
 
Up to June 10, PSU Confucius Institutes has enrolled 129 students who are divided into ten classes (4 elementary Chinese classes, 3 intermediate Chinese classes and 3 Survival Chinese classes). The Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute also teach Chinese language to 83 non-Chinese major full-time PSU students (two classes). All Chinese classes started from June 4.
 
June 3, Two new teachers of Chinese arrived at Hatyai and begin their teaching mission at Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University.
 
On June 1, Prof. Ma and other teachers were invited to visit the Picture Show of the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China jointly held by Chinese General Consulate in Songkhla and the Association of Overseas Chinese in Hatyai. It is also the 39th anniversary of the establishment of Alumni Association of Srinakorn School.
 
On the afternoon of May 31, alll members of Confucius Institute were invited to attend the ceremony for the 39th anniversary of TEIKKHA CHEE NUM KOK HATYAI and the inauguration of the new school "KHUNATHAMWITAYA SCHOOL" .
 
On the afternoon of May 29, China Radio International held a 10-minute interview with Prof. Ma in English. Prof.Ma was very happy to answer the questions. He said:"Eleven confucius institutes have been established in Thailand. Though only for short time, these institutes are very influential in the local areas. More and more Thais are beginning to learn Chinese language."
 
Between May 21st and May 23rd, Prof.Ma Zhi, the dean of Confucius Institute at PSU visited three other confucius institutes around Bangkok and received a warm welcome. He discussed with the other institute deans about the work and programs and exchanged ideas about the forthcoming programs.
 
Systematic Chinese language programs (Elementary Chinese 101-104; Intermediate Chinese 201-204) begin registration, with low fee including textbooks, and with more favorable conditions for the PSU teachers and students. All classes will start from June 4th.
 
'Happy Summer Camp' of Confucius Instiitute opened on April 21th. Beside Chinese language, the camp members will take part in various Chinese cultural games and activities.
 
On March 22, Mr Ma, the dean of Confucius Institute was invited to attend the PSU meeting on the revision of the university website. Mr Ma expressed their willingness on behalf of CI to fully assist the work of the PSU Chinese version website pages. Dr Chatchai, PSU vise president, was very happy to announce that this project would be assigned to the Confucius Institute.
 
On March 23, over 200 high school students in six groups from the three provinces(Narathiwat,Pattani and Yala) visited Confucius Institute at PSU today. They showed great interest in programs introduced. They also enjoyed themselves in learning some Chinese expressions. Thai TV Channel 3 interviewed Prof. Ma, the dean of the iinstitute.
 
On March 8, the Executive Committee held the 3rd meeting this year to discuss about 16 projects including Teachers Training Programs; CI offering optional courses; Summer Camps; Library membership; and accommodation for Chinese teachers.
 
Confucius Institute at PSU has helped five Chinese major students with scholarship (each 500 yuan) from Wang Guanchuan Foundaiton. 46 students will leave for China for 1-year Chinese program.
 
The Chinese instructor Ms Yao at Confucius Institute was invited to join the activities in Songkla organized by Students Chinese Club at Faculty of Liberal Arts of the PSU between March 2 and March 3.
 
Another 1200 texkbooks sent by Chinese Hanban arrived at Confucius Institute on March 8 ready for Chinese training programs.
 
On March 4, the Chinese Lantern Festival, Mr Tan Hong Beng, a well-known local overseas Chinese enterpreneur, invited CI members to visit his companies: Ariya Rung Ruang Co.,Ltd and Hatyai Ice making Plant Ltd.
 
On Feb.15, over 60 students from Prince Chulabhorn's College, Satun came to visit Confucius at Songkla University. PSU Chinese teacher Teerisara gave them a brief introduction. They asked a lot of questions about Chinese language learning and China.
 
Confucius Institute at PSU held a Chinese New Year Party. Over 30 teachers and students from China participated. They enjoyed the new year dinner,the CCTV new year performces and sang Karaoke songs hjoyfully. Everyone said they had a feeling of being home at Confucius Institute.
 
On Feb.13, Prof.Ma Zhi, the dean of PSU Confucius Institute, visited Hatyai Middle School, observe classes and had a talk with Mr. Ma Guo-Xin and teachers of Chinese about the school and Chinese language teaching.
 
Prof. Ma and Ms Yao were invited by the International Buddhist College to their Chinese New Year Banquet on Feb.11.
 
On Feb.9, Mr Yao Bo-ming, Chinese General Consulate in Songkhla, held the new year banquet with concert at Lee Garden Hotel. Prof.Ma and Ms Yao at Confucius Institute were invited to the party.
 
On Feb. 6, 2007, Confucius Institute at PSU opened the first Chinese lanauage short term training class (20 people) for faculty and staff memebers of PSU free of charge. Prof. Sujitra, the Thai dean of the institute, joins in the first program.
 
On Feb. 2, CI at PSU held “Chinese New Year's Day”. Ms Yao Xingqing gave an interesting description of Chinese new year. About 100 people joined and enjoyed themselves in the traditional Chinese games such as Riddle Guessing and Candle Blowing.
 
On January 27, 2007, Confucius Institute and Faculty of Liberal Arts jointly held a meeting at PSU for teachers of Chinese in Songkhla area. Forty nine teachers of Chinese were present.
 
On Jan. 5, 2007, the executive committee of Confucius Institute at PSU held the first new year meeting to discuss about the work plan for 2007 in which there are 20 programs and projects.
 
Prof. Ma, the dean of Confucius Institute at PSU,together with GXNU delegation, attended the New Year's Party on Dec.29 prepared by the Chinese Association in Hatyai.
 
On the morning of Dec.29, 2006, the opening ceremony of Confucius Institute at Songkla University was held. Mr Zhang Jiu-huan, the Chinese ambassador in Thailand, and some other Chinese officials attended the ceremony.
