Training Program for Teachers of Chinese (2)

A 100-hour systematic training program specially designed for teachers of Chinese in primary and middle schools in South Thailand is offered sometime between March and May every year. The program is divided into two stages with the first one in Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University and the second in Guangxi Normal University, Guilin, China.

Stage Two program (50 class-hours) includes:

1）Methodology in teaching Chinese as a second language；

2）Comprehensive Chinese；

3）Chinese conversation；

4）Designing of Teaching Tools and textbook compiling；

5）Series of lectures on China and Chinese culture；

6）Chinese computer;

7) Chinese kongfu;

8) Chinese calligraphy and paintings;

Observation and visits

A) Interaction between Chinese and Thai：free talks and ball games with Chinese students

B) Observe Chinese classes for foreigners;

C) Visits to primary and middle schools in Guilin;

D)  Visit the Prince Palace (Wangcheng Campus) and the city center

Those who have completed the whole program (Stage One and Stage Two) and meet the requirements will get Certificate of Training Program for Teachers of Chinese from Confucius Institute at PSU.

7．Water Streets of Xing’an County and the Ling Cannel of Qin Dynasty
