This program is
the second Chinese foundation stage
with 240-class-hours
designed for those who have completed
the elementary Chinese.
It will strengthen the students'
knowledge in Chinese language in
vocabulary, grammar, reading and
writing.
The learners are required to learn about
2,500 to 3000 characters, about 240
grammatical points. They will
have basic skills in making Chinese
sentences, complicated sentences as
well, and use the words freely. They
will be able, with the help of
dictionaries, to read newspapers and
simple-structured temporary literary
works; to understand news broadcasting
and to
write ordinary practical letters and
narratives.
